the only problem i see with this idea, is the potential band issues that would come from potential ego, or the lack of ability to write a concise song as a group (Ive seen some amazing artists that i couldnt stand writing with because of their personality or the way they want to make their songs and no one elses) that and the naming convention could potentially askew some of the sounds. like how shredders of metal infers a guitarist who can shred (you can find tons of amazing shredders online but a lot of them cant keep a band because of their egos of wanting to shred over EVERYTHING leaving no room for the other instruments for example) and might end up losing out on an awesome rhythm guitarist who can hold down the song much better. or that the slappers of metal would have to do a 'slap n pop' style of play, yet most metal bassists play with a pick and would shred better then they would slap... b still like the idea though

The way Adam took the judges' advice to heart and really switched it up was great and probably sealed the deal. Part of me wants to say "shit I've only been playing for 3 years and I can shred way better than either of these guys" (and I'm 100% sure I can play better than both of their first takes at the very leas), but I would be hella nervous too if I had to play in front of Alex and Ben in such an up-close-and-personal environment.
