Shrimp and Grits | Christie Vanover - Competitive Pitmaster

What about cooking stovetop meals on the grill? 🔥​ I love it! 😍​ Look how I whipped up some grilled shrimp and grits.​🍤​🥘​
Ingredients: 4 strips bacon, diced
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
1 1/2 tablespoons flour
2 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon tomato paste
4 cups water
1 cup quick cooking grits
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Cajun seasoning
12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 Andouille sausages
Green onion slices
Step by step: ✔️​Add the bacon to the skillet and sauté until crispy. Add the onion, celery and bell pepper and sauté until tender. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
✔️​Add the chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste. Cook until thickened.
✔️​Place the water in another pot on top of the grill grate. Bring the water to a boil. Add the grits. Cook for 5 minutes or until thickened. Remove the lid and stir in the butter and cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
✔️​Sprinkle Cajun seasoning on the shrimp. Grill the shrimp and sausages on the grill grate until cooked through. Slice the sausages.
✔️​To assemble, spoon some grits into a bowl. Top with bacon gravy, shrimp and sliced sausage. Garnish with green onions.
