I feel proud to listen such a wonderful speech of Sri Balakrishnan, IAS, who is an eminent in Tamil Literature and history. Being an alumni of MCC -1980-83, B.A(HISTORY) I appreciate the organisers for conceiving a wonderful thought of a fantastic topic and identifying an appropriate person to speak on. My suggestion to all please go through a book THE JOURNEY OF CIVILISATION which is in high demand authored by Sri Balakrishnan. In another 2 months the book will be available for sale because it is under printing.

As u and our pride great Valluvar told drops of tears rolled in my eyes by ur speech because I too interested in ur field because I was a student of Indian and world history in Madurai kamarajar university. Now too study in the field. Thanks a lot sir. Will u please let me know ur dedication work or speech via books and nett. Works. Iam a Trichy Cauvery river bed born. 1952 born tamilan iam. So I wish u to success in ur field. But I can assure written evidence alone cannot be proof. Your idea, I too hope, Names can be the sources evidence of history. Tradition and culture, I believe, must be a evidence of history. Ur catching idea is very good idea. Especially tamilan cannot forbidden his culture knowingly or unknowingly.
