If you sidestep too early the tracking will get you. You have to know what you’re sidestepping and time it during the starting frames of the move you want to sidestep.

For those who don’t know, if you go into practice and click help , it gives you a shit ton of info as to what properties are / what symbols mean. This game gives the tools for the most part . They need tier ranking matches where u can only fight certain fighters base on the characters tier itself like u won’t never fight king (tier 1) in a tier 3 battle.

You don’t really have to learn 32 matchups. You just have to understand the basic patterns of each player and react accordingly to what they’re doing. That’s with every fighting game. The only other character you gotta learn other than your own is King cause not teching grabs against him is a death sentence. Maybe a little bit of Yoshi too cause he’s got multiple unblockables that someone might pull out.

4:30 because homing moves beats sidestep/sidewalk . Also sidestepping isn't that simple . Some moves losses to sidestep but beats sidewalk and some moves losses to sidewalk but beats sidestep . It's like RPS . Sidestep is faster but has a short evasive time and sidewalk is slow but has a longer evasive time . Also keep in mind sidestepping is often done on a read and not on reaction . The only time you'll sidestep on reaction is when you block some moves of a string and sidestep the rest to punish your opponent . There is also offensive sidestep but that's high level stuff .

Disagree about Arcade Quest. Yeah it ain't perfect and the story is whatever but it definitely does teach you stuff about the game and I've definitely gotten better by playing it. Teaches new people about things like Power Crushes, the Heat System, Launchers for combos, counter hits, etc. I don't think it's meant to be an end all be all "here's how to get good at the game" feature but it definitely helps teach some nice fundamentals to be used as a springboard for those that wanna dive deeper.

I mean just look at who your facing before the match starts it tells you for a reason so you arnt that confused when match starts. Arcade quest is more of an introduction to the game rather than teaching you to get better and sometimes help get into rank rather than only casual matches. Yeah a lot of characters got beyblade attacks. Zafina, Asuka, Lily, Alisa, and Xioayu. Are other characters with one. The character diversity in higher rank isn’t necessarily true because there are those who play the lower played characters like Xiayou, Zafina, and Panda. Cause the character knowledge for most meta players is so low compared to everyone else.

the reality is, i felt like Tekken 8 should have had the heat system be used for defensive maneuvers, such as heat dash should have been a fast sidestep that gives you a frame advantage and not allow turning around to be as fast when from behind. the heat standard hit should have super armor even on lows and have better super armor and then be active faster than typical power crush and RA moves. and then they should have nerfed KBD but buff the generally backstep, so like, there is a stale to KBD, and then buff general sidestepping or at least nerf tracking. the worst thing about Tekken 8 for me, is just how safe other characters are compared to others, have you seen Lars' Frame Data? its a travesty. his hurtbox, his hitboxes, his tracking is garbage, his ss is trash compared to everybodies updated tracking. they could have added more attack options while on the ground, make 3+4 spring kick safe on block, make hitbox size more realistic, and then make it super armored, same with other moves. make more moves power crushes i feel like, because so many opponents have such an insane frame advantage, its ridiculous. make FFF1+2 super armored, make FFF3 or 4 very safe with pushback. small stuff like that makes a whole difference in Oki/Ukemi. yes more bikinis, no lucky chloe, more customization needed, F hoerang more social features, punish dippers and ragequitters and reward those who stay, lock wifi users out from being played if you wish. I also agree i think the arcade quest doesnt teach you well enough, because gamers want to play, not read, and theres too much text to teach players how to play the game, people still won't read it, but you need to in order to learn. to the newbies of Tekken, Tekken 7 was riddled with cheaters in the end of its life, it was swarmed by cheaters and smurfs. Tekken 8 is no different, the anti-cheat is basically no better. the star in inputs means no input, its neutral, basically a slight pause inbetween inputs, barely. 32 matchups is small compared to Tekken 7, X'D scripts with autoblock, autoduck, autothrow break, input reading, combo macros, autopunish, lag switch, im also convinced PS5 players found a way to cheat too like that similarly, i also believe there might be a way for players to forcefully kick you off, auto practically everything, all the player has to do half the time is just, know when to press a buttn, and when not to, the rules for the cheater is entirely binary, either press a button or dont. with cheaters youre basically fighting a CPU thats better than the game even makes at the highest difficulty.

The problem is that WIFI connection isn't as stable as a wired connection, so when you play against people on WIFI it tends to be less stable than two people who are wired. If you have WIFI then that means you can be wired with a LAN cable unless you have your reasons as to why you use wifi over a LAN cable.

You look at the average player. Reina has a demanding input. However she is braindead easy and will get a new player to reds and ruler. Hwoarang I'm not even gonna argue. With heat, RA, insane pressure, onr of the best panic moves in the game, etc. Hwoarang is gonna carry you through ranked. Yoshi is definitely a character carry in this game. Unlike 7 he has so many tools and gimmicks that will carry you to reds. There's a reason they are played the most. Super strong and easy

@@braxton414 So let's see. According to recent data Reina has the lowest win rate in game . Not one of but the lowest . Explain how a carry character got the lowest win rate title twice . Also Reina has a really complex move set that requires proper thought to use . Unlike Victor you can't just 222222 . A character that is hard to pilot , difficult to learn or a character that has the lowest success rate can't be a carry character . Reina players are in the mud dying and you're calling their character carry lol . A carry character would be someone like Victor easy move set , easy to spam etc. Same with Yoshimitsu he has a complex move set that requires proper practice and thought to use in an actual match . Hwoarang like I said is a easy to pick up character but is really hard to master . Also carrying never stops until the character itself is nerfed . Azucena's running 3,2 and the liberator stance , Jun's heat and her super accessible busted move set , DvJ heat , Dragonov as a whole , Alisa's chainsaw etc will be super effective at both high and low ranks . Reina , Yoshimitsu and Hwoarang are from being like those characters . Also reaching red is not that big of a deal . Because It's literally the most populated rank in the game . Also I'm surprised you didn't put Jun in your comment she is super easy to use , has broken move set , has a better 10 frame punish then Lee and has a broken hit smash ( maybe best in the game along with DvJ's hit smash ) .
