Sia reaction suggestions: Cheap Thrills - Her first no. 1 hit, has a version of with and without Sean Paul. The Greatest - Reached the top 20, has a version of with and without Kendrick Lamar. Alive - Didn't performed in the charts well (peaked at no. 56), doesn't make it any less superior with the others tho. Titanium - Arguably the song that put her in the mainstream spotlight. Her first top 10 hit. She was a featured act here, but did all the vocals.

The other person's hands were actually Sia's hands, indicating Maddie is the little girl still inside Sia and she wakes up the little girl and starts controlling it and she almost kills it away with constantly drinking it down from heartbreak but she knocks her hills twice like Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. You should really check out Eye Of The Needle.

If you really want to see Sia singing without hiding then check her out in her prime (circa 2000-2001) with: Sia/Zero 7: Destiny (British Music Video) Easy enough to find on youtube though the mv cuts the song in half. It comes not long after the death of her boyfriend in a car accident so the lyrics are especially powerful. Another good one from that album is "Distractions"

I recommend Soon We'll be found by Sia as well, it's an older song of hers and she actually appears in the music video and her style was just slightly different, but still the same sadness-inducing style of music with a lot of artistry.

For the revisit, you can try to react to Elastic Heart (Sia ft. The Weeknd & Diplo.) The song is featured in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack. Spoiler alert tho: It has no music video, and no lyrics were altered. Lyrics are still the same. It's just a matter of who sings which part.

What I've personally come to understand from this video in relation to the interviews of Sia is that in addition to everything you said it is about losing control of her life. Her father had emotional psychological issues and that really affected her childhood. She was earlier diagnosed as having bipolar disorder. The whole hand biting I believe is used to describe self harm... physical harm that is and the apologizing for her actions but still repeating those mistakes as indicated by the repeating choreography. By the end of the video you see that she's completely lost control. The choreography is absolutely amazing ! Also I love how emotionally invested you are in these videos. It's really interesting 🙂

Elastic Heart sticks with you. Years since I first saw it and I still love it and wish for a continuation. But this video gets to me, too. It’s just so simple and powerful at the same time. For what it’s worth, I’m pretty sure Maddie is usually the same character in these videos, basically a younger version of Sia. Also I’d never noticed the lighting before, but it really is a great effect. It’s interesting to hear your insights as someone who works behind the scenes in entertainment, because I never notice that sort of stuff on my own unless it’s undeniably awful. Lol The Greatest, Alive, Cheap Thrills, and Together are all great videos (although I prefer the live version of Alive from the Ellen Show). I like Rainbow too, but it’s a movie crossover video so it includes movie clips. Still a fun video. Sia’s also in a band called LSD you might be interested in. Their videos are something else, in a good way.

NOTHING BREAKS LIKE A HEART Miley did in collab with MARK RONSON, who worked with LADY GAGA on the JOANNE album. You'll see him in the video for PERFECT ILLUSION when you get around to it. Do you already know BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY by FERGIE? I think it could also be interpreted as a commentary on what people say about adults showing their emotions in a kindof ironic/sarcastic way like 'that's what some people think/say' whereas this is more to the point and transparent. Anyways we all love the serious/deep/empowering SIA but if you need some more lighthearted suggestions, CHEAP THRILLS, YOU"VE CHANGED, or maybe some collabs like I LOVE IT (with Aussie hip hop act HILLTOP HOODS) or WILD ONES (with FLO RIDA, was #1 in Australia). The video to THE GREATEST has a solemn undertone but is uptempo musically too. MOVE YOUR BODY was originally written for SHAKIRA in mind also. :)

sia is just an amazing artist and songwriter. even though i dont always understand everything, i feel it. i recommend some of her old videos even though the quality might be poorer. Soon we´ll be found, Youve changed, breathe me. some of my favourite songs by her doesnt have a video though. Sweet potato, Numb and breathe me is probably the ones Ive listened to the most amount of times. I also love Electric bird, its more pop than the others though.

Please, react to Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton, he is one of the best country artists ever. While Stapleton is certainly a country singer, he's so much more than that. His classic country callbacks, southern rock ramblers and intimate storytelling narratives all resonate. His soulful vocal runs and bluesy guitar grit are refreshing and worthy of critical acclaim. You won’t regret to listen to his music.

Maddie Ziegler is actually a dancer but her acting skills are amazing too. As for Sia's voice: Vocal coaches will say it's unusual and her technique could be easier to her, but I think she has one of the greatest voices EVER (even better than Suzuka Nakamoto, and I just LOVE Su, just to say) This video is just ART !

OK Jersh, I'm going to give you a suggestion for an interesting followup. Now that you've seen the early Sia videos with Maddie as a proxy for Sia, jump forward to recent stuff for a contrast. Yes, there's stuff in the middle too, but this is a case where going out of order might be interesting, since Sia's overall catalogue outside these early 3 aren't super dependant on each other. Her most recent video, "Together" is interesting and good, but for variety's sake I'd go back 2 years and view "Thunderclouds". Why? Because its interesting and different. It's under the name LSD and not under Sia, because it's a joint project with British singer Labrinth and DJ/producer Diplo. (Labrinth Sia Diplo... get the name?). Maddie still appears in the video, but so does Sia (well... sort of... but not really... let that mystery sit with you for a bit) and it's well... let's just say it's very visually interesting. The visuals are super trippy, to almost a Melanie Martinez level. 419m views, so it's popular too.
