Yes, G-Dragon released this solo album while being a part of Big Bang. In fact Big Bang was the first idol group that allowed their members to do solo projects. Before Big Bang if a member did anything solo it was the end or the beginning of the end for the group but even with G dragon winning perfect all-kills and Daesung's, Taeyang topping global iTunes soul and R&B charts and TOP winning acting awards for best newcomer. BigBang came back together and broke into the western market and had every group after them dyeing their hair bright colors because of the Alive album.

GD created the lightstick as we know it today . He is also s fashion icon and the first asian ambassador for a major fashion brand . He is also a designer and his fashion brand Peace Minus One has many colabs, including 5 shoes with Nike.
