10:20 I’m so happy he brought this up. People don’t understand phenotype doesn’t equate to community. We may look alike but we didn’t all live alike. What had happened to Africans in America is a forced pairing so to speak. Community is forced almost incessantly without the what and how we got here so to speak. Thanks for the content

The section around 37:15 where Dr. Kendi is talking about capitalism and race is spot on. I was introduced to the insurrection of 1898 in Wilmington, NC, and this was the textbook example of what he speaks on. Thank you, Amanda, for creating space for this conversation.

Also I found it VERY interesting learning just last week from Joshua Shrei on The Emerald podcast that gunpowder was created because they were trying to find a way to create immortality. In the human fear of death, the desire to be Gods(my thoughts) humans created a means to bring MORE death than was ever possible before. As some one who likes to pan out to what is the spiritual meaning or significance this fucked me up!!!!! The shear arrogance of man has brought so much destruction and suffering that it can only be due to our immaturity as beings in this universe. Earth: A Wild Wild West of Trauma. Those Martians NEED to be fraid of the half white man half robot who makes it to their shores.

You can have a PHD from Harvard ! But without mother's wits, common sense and street sense. You can easily be a educated fool. A honorary PHD means you didn't write the paper you lived it. If you are a black American and received that honor you damn sure most likely deserved it lol ! Truth + Wisdom = Peace ✌ 🙏 🙌 👏.

Right now I see the best way of looking at black American history in real time now is looking at what's going on in Palestan right now we are looking at 1600s in real time with the ability to see how America was discovered by eliminating the people who are Native to the land that they are taking over and claiming as if it's there's. Looking at the population before and after WW2 (also how the US taught H*tler by the way they taught Black ppl in the 30s is mind blowing. but a different story)
