Life on or near the river is pretty amazing, my wife’s daughters restaurant is not far from ICON SIAM……short walking distance, very easy to get around but always a lot of traffic….next time you are down that way you should stop for lunch…….creeping up on 100k subs too……awesome STL!

Watched it all- not too long. When it’s varied including accommodation , transport , shopping, food and drink and unique spots it’s not too long . When you give historical context and recommendations it’s not going to be too long . The droning new boy in town vloggers that specialize in clickbait and regurgitate the same same stuff as dozens of others- I don’t have time to waste with them. I’m coming back to Thailand for the first time since 2017 sometime soon and your channel has value for sure .

Looking forward to many great adventures! I’m a big Tabasco fan myself! I’ve been to Avery Island two times. If you go set aside the whole day and get there early and take the tour of the whole grounds. There’s even a big Buddha in a temple. It’s a beautiful setting. And there the largest collection of live bamboo gardens in the world! It’s a beautiful place. The old Avery island. It’s on top of a huge salt mine as big as Mount Everest, but underground. I feel like I need to pay you my long needed respect and thanks. I subscribed a long time ago and 'liked' all your videos but just want to comment that your content is consistently high quality, entertaining, informative and full of practical advice and recommendations. For example, i was in the process of booking the Ibis Riverside for 3 nights on 28th December for 187 British pounds when my fiancee said that the room only had a small window which is not ideal as she is claustrophobic. Lo and behold we were at the point of watching this video when you mentioned the Naga Residence next door.Luckily, we were able to book a huge beautiful room with a king bed and balcony for only 129 pounds in total checking out on New Years Eve. To say we are overjoyed and thankful is an understatement!

I love your attention to details. My desire to live in Thailand is mostly because of your videos. Unfortunately I have to watch the video several times in order to catch everything that you're filming. There's so much to unpack. Can you make a few short videos highlighting just a few hot spots at a time. (Maybe two or three hotels along with what's around those hotels), (the old building are fascinating but because of time and the losing of daylight, you have to blow by them. (Jacks has a lot of great history and looks like tons of fun and your narrative is far superior than other KZbin vbloggers). That's three videos that could get you a ton of viewers and possibly quite a few subscribers. Thank you again for great content and excellent blogging Sly.

I have to admit during my river trip I got a bit confused with all the ferry boats and where to stand for the one I wanted LOL. Had 3-4 people finally get me in the proper line. Language was bit of an issue. Icon Siam is indeed amazing mall plus lots of great places along river to chill with a beer and food. This vlogger is right, a lot to explore in this section of Bangkok

The small soccer field is called Futsal, usually made with concrete and painted blue/green, played by 7 on each side. There is also worldwide tournament of this event as well as nationally and regionally in Thailand. BTW, Charoen Krung Rd is the first road in Siam/Thailand built during King Rama 4 reign. The second road is Yaowarat Rd built in King Rama 5 reign and connected to Charoen Krung to form China Town, the biggest China Town in the world.

In terms of urban environment that area of Bangkok is the best in Thailand and possibly the whole world- the strip between China town and the ibis - the river itself has both a busy and a tranquil calming in the centre of Chaos, there’s all the classic places, lebua, icon, peninsula, mandarin, Shanghai la, Chinatown and all it’s interest, endless alleys which a hidden gem down each one it’s impossible for someone like myself to put into words the atmosphere of that area

So many memories from when I lived in that area in 2003-2004. Sathon road soi 21. It's where I drank snake blood for the first and last time. Sometimes I go back for a chat with old friends who still live there. Thank you for sharing! By the way, I think the boat from Icon Siam to Saphan Taksin pier is no longer free.

First of all, I just love your vids! Many good tips, even for those who live in Thailand. And your videos are NEVER tot long. Second thing: Last Tuesday coming from the sticks (Pathum Thani) been Bangkoking my self with the misses, doing some errands here and there, ended up at Icon Siam to buy a new Apple TV 4K, some drinks and a small dinner. But somehow every time we eat at Icon, we get it wrong. 2 times at Sook Siam, and this time more up scale at Grey Hound, Absolutely tasteless soup, spaghetti, and fish balls in a jacket with some fries which were call "fish and chips". OK, maybe I'm a bit spoiled with my significant other being a chef, but for the prices they charge at Icon... Or are we just that unlucky... Keep up the good work, and we will continue to watch!

We stayed at The Chatrium which was a nice Hotel, but not as good for things to do around it. We know next time to stay on the other side. Close but yet so far, as they say! Another great video from STL! After watching your previous videos of Riverside I have decided that that is probably going to be where I reside when I come back to Thailand which hopefully will be very soon. Thanks for showing me my future neighborhood. Personally I prefer older buildings in the original state, as long as they're maintained. Bangkok is like the gift that keeps on giving. Did I make it to the end?!! Of course! While I generally prefer a slightly shorter video, as long as you keep things going and actual content ( Ie limited "filler" -- I haven't seen any "filler" on any of your vids ) I will surely make the time to absorb whatever you can bring me. This was often just breath-taking!! I'm awful with crowds in my "older" years, but this is clearly not to be passed over -- kind of like Old Town Vegas meets the Vancouver inner harbour -- Granville Island and Metrotown/Silver City all rolled into one -- but affordable. Positively must experience this -- I might get addicted, tho... Cheers!...from North Vancouver

Love your walking and the views of Bangkok in the old area. It made me miss my old home near Klongsan and Charoen Nakorn area. Too bad that you haven't check out Napalai Terrace on the 7th Floor of Icon Siam for The illuminating light sticks exhibition "Infinity Forest" by Softlab, a world class NewYork based design studio. It's an amazing art pieces. And at the terrace you can see the panoramic view of the Chao Phraya River and the skyscape of Bangkok. Don't miss it next time.😊
