Our VMAX 1700 came to us as a BONE STOCK low mile BEAST! But if you know Siegfried's Motorwerx you KNOW we can't leave well enough alone! So we mounted a set of Cat Delete VOODOO Slip on's to our newest bike! We have some other performance oriented mods to complete as well and we WILL be documenting these along the way! So stay tuned to watch us take this Vmax to the NEXT LEVEL!

I agree. I love the way my stock exhaust looks, but wouldn't it be awesome just to have a dial on the pipes to be able to adjust sound and volume!

@@devilsbreath5917 You can do an aftermarket crossover that eliminates the stock cat, but leaves the oem slipons. It sounds pretty comparable to the voodoos but not as loud.

Like the looks of the stock exhaust, clean lines and flow. Like the sound of aftermarket exhaust. Have Vance and Hines on mine, but makes bike look empty near the rear and underbelly.

I put aftermarket exhaust on my 2009 vmax you don't have to redo the computer disconnect a battery for about three to five minutes then connect it back up start it and the computer will adjust itself to the exhaust flow kind of like riding in the higher elevations to the lower elevations it will adjust itself just like my Toyota Tundra I put aftermarket exhaust on it disconnected battery hook it back up in the computer adjusted to the different flow which is all I did and definitely a big difference with the performance of the bike it will get it on

Did you ever do the follow up video on the 2010 vmax after you got the ECU reflashed, I'd like to hear it!! My 2016 is to loud, I need some good baffles, got any suggestions

If there is a bike that impresses by its power it is the 1700 VMax. No aftermarket sound needed. Noisy stuff is for small, wanna be big bikes. The VMax is way beyond that.

Sounds great, but is there any notable power difference besides sounding great lol ? The new exhaust didn’t hurt it start up. It fired a lot quicker than mine in stock form.

Are the headpipes also stock ? I mean that sound and flames are looking like it has straight pipes. Or does the US version have less restricted flow ?

The head pipes are 100 stock, this system deletes the cat and swaps the slip ons

Your idle mixture circuit it probably clogged an needs disassembly / cleaning

@@mountmorris774 It's an ugly proposition. If the popping is at WOT, you have a lean condition from either a vacuum leak or a clogged main jet. If it's at idle you may have a low speed jet or air bleed clogged. In either case the carb rack needs to be removed and broken down so you can remove the carb bowls and low speed jet assemblies. Then you have to hope against hope that the soft brass jets aren't frozen in place. If they are, you have to order new parts from Yamaha. Once you reassemble you have to sync the carbs. You could instead try running some carb cleaner through it.

@@joshuapotts7634 I did pee shooting jets. But I didn't take brass out of bottom to drain. Do you have to take brass out so it drains? Only one carb doing it also.. So if pee shooting doesn't work any other way get ti that jet to clean without tearing apart..

Do you need to remove the Exup Servo? I noticed under the bike it looks like the EXUP cables are tidied away in a tube under the swing arm. If you decided to return the system to stock would you also need to have the ECU reflashed a 2nd time to original setting?

Yes you would have to reflash the Ecu and the exup I left on the bike just disconnected it

Get a full exhaust. Slip on don’t usually affect fuel/air
