In this kung fu wall bag training drill the sow-chui is modified to land like a reverse punch. The idea behind this modification is to take the hook to build momentum and then drive it in with a more straight line strike which will help your connection and striking body alignment. This is not meant to replace all sow-chui punches, but is an excellent variation of the strike.
***Please note that this is not how the punch is supposed to be performed in the Choy Li Fut Wall Bag Set. This style is simply for an alternate training.
