Excellent work on this review. If you own a M17 this is the optic to get. Your review made that very clear otherwise there are much cheaper options that perform as well.

Another thing that may or may not be noticed by others. With my astigmatism red dots, especially in low light or indoors are pretty blurry, but still very usable. Some how, some way, the circle dot on these sig optics literally make my astigmatism disappear. It’s unreal how crisp the dot looks. But if I take it off the circle dot it’s the same as any other dots I have. Something about the smooth 32 moa circle instead of having the hash marks (such as a holosun optic with dot and circle) makes it so clear for me.

Comment on price: Given that you don’t need to purchase/mount a set of suppressor height co-witness sights, the $100 you thereby save effectively reduces the $799 cost of the M17 down to $699. If its propritory to the m17 slide, the m17 is the same as the sig r1p / dpp. Theres already adaptor plates out there for the dpp/sig r1p. So in theory, it should work. The bad part is the mounting of the screws is on the bottom, under the firing pin assy. So there should be stuff out there to make it work on other pistols.

It's not proprietary to the commercial M17/18 slides with the DPP mount. It's proprietary to military slides.
@Ihasanart Жыл бұрын
Nope, the mil contract M17/18s have holes cut through the slide to allow the screws to screw into the optic from below. They basically took the DPP footprint and modified it with a angled front dovetail and the screws from underneath at the rear of the slide. So far only the mil contract slides have this, NOT the commercial M17/18 editions.
