I have visited Sigiriya several times since 1965. Those days we entered Sigiri premises from another side also. But this is the first time , I studied many things about Sigiriya . When we went to the top of the rock , I had seen a small pond at the edge of the rock which was full of clean water . The middle pond named " Kaludiya Pokuna " also had enough water. I don't know whether they had a connection. I heard archeologists found many Roman coins around water parks. Couldn't it possible those water parks were used to entertain foreign delegates ?

The prof is a good example of coming to the point as quickly as possible without wasting air time.
Thank you for disseminating great information on Sigiriya. Like Prof. Somadeva explains, Sigiriya has many facets - City and town planning, architecture, engineering, ecology etc., etc. This program is an eye opener. We also understand that the information so far unearthed on Sigiriya is like that of a tip of an iceberg; what is yet to be uncovered is so vast.

This is an amazing program that helps educate Sri Lankans provided they have open minds and are able to understand Sinhala. I learned so many amazing facts about Sigiriya by watching the related episodes. Thank you, Prof Somadeva and Mr Nuwan, keep up the good work! ChandraJ, Arizona, USA

This will be very interesting to all those who cannot understand Sinhalese. We have a lot of Foreign friends who are surprised at what you show. Unfortunately they cannot understand.

Yes, It's better if they add subtitles in English .
Professor can you say a word about how they would have synthezised colours thay they have used in the paintings. You know the artificial colours that we use today get faded within a short time where as these paintings have stood the test of time.
