Some NOTES here 1. CONTROL THE FRAME WITH BODY LANGUAGE & TONE: If someone talk to you aggressively make sure you don’t respond to their emotional state. Stay cool, calm & Respond not rising to it. Which means you set the frame not other person 2. WHEN IN CONFRONTATION, ATTACK THE FRAME, NOT THE CONTENT: The less you focus on defending yourself the better your banter will become. Don’t try to win every critical exchange. 3. HAVE THE BELIEF THAT YOU ARE NOT THERE TO IMPRESS: If you are sells person or on a client facing role if you shift your mindset from I am selling this person or I work for this person to this person need me to partner with them. This means you will push back when needed, you will give better advice. 4. BECOME AN EXPERT AT FRAMING PEOPLE’S OPTIONS: You don’t need to have total control just control the options and the person who controls the options controls the outcome 5. CREATE OPTIONS FOR YOURSELF: Believe & show that you can always get different path, client, job if someone closes the door for you. My crazy passion is to share summaries like started doing it on my channel with PDF summaries✌ Lets create options for ourselves to show extreme confidence😃

One of my favorite shows and characters! Good breakdown! Something that was relatively underplayed in the video until the end is the reason his moves work: his radical competence. Confidence and techniques are great and can get you places, but you won't be able to keep your position or demand raises or whatever without some value backing you up. I’ve already commented on this video. But I just want to add to it. Understanding frames of reference is one of the most powerful ways to finally start being able to get to grips with dominant, disagreeable personality types. It took me way too long to realise this BUT never argue with their frame...simply assert yours with persistency and conviction. The person with the most compelling frame wins. Unless you’re dealing with a narcissist, sociopath or psychopath, in which case you have a choice: you can either grey rock (google it) or be destroyed. That’s the second lesson. Be clear on the ego you’re dealing with. Some egos have a scorched Earth policy.

The way to Set the Frame is to Know YOUR "Outcome" for the interaction. As mentioned here, Frames are continually changing, so by Knowing What it is that You Want to have Happen that specifically prevents others from changing Your Frame & allows you to adjust yours to theirs as you go through. And whilst speaking about Frames, there is also Re-Framing. Context Re-Frames & Content Re-Frames. Using the metaphor in this video, .. you can keep the artwork & change the Frame that it's in (Context Re-Frame) or keep the Frame & change the artwork inside it (Content Re-Frame). These are foundation concepts from a feild called NLP & relate to Influence with others. The allied understanding that supports the concept of Frames is "Criteria". Those elements of your outcome that must be present for you to know you have achieved it, whatever they may be.

As a chick myself, I love all the videos and gain a lot from them all equally, but that's me. I think you’re right. I agree. I hadn’t thought about it in that light and you’re right.” 3 agreements with a confirmation and it completely deflates their aggression. It works every time I’ve used it and allows me to then follow with support for my main argument, which I then usually win.

The weakness however of your channel is to contently show pieces of TV shows or comedians in display on talk show. The problem with it being that it is not real. These are scenariis and dialogues written and arranged by a team of scriptwriters. I know it's much harder to do. But if you could interview some real people out there who changed the way people behaved to them by changing their behaviors first, that would be fantastic. Thanks for all the work, and keep on.

Excellent case study of Harvey's confidence. I want to know how much time this took you, and what approach you took to perform this. Could you make videos on Mindsets as well? confidence comes with a stable mindset, along with many other benefits. This video grants an edge to the people who already have their confidence sorted, but doesn't help the ones yet to discover their confidence. This can only be solved by first laying a foundation( Mindset).

Can you please make a video on how to write a personal statement for academia? How to demonstrate different things like talent, work experience, diversity, trauma/ over coming something and explaining flaws in academic record. What life story should you pick? How do you make sure you're memorable? Please and thank you!!

Really enjoyed this! And I enjoyed the clips on deflecting insults. “I’m surprised you didn’t recognize your wife’s perfume. I know. Not married. Still funny!” That was cute. Thank you for uploading these!

Awesome video as always Charlie! However, something we’d all love to see is Thomas Shelby from Netflix’s Peaky Blinders

If you haven't done a video on her, definitely look into one on Kate McKinnon. She's magical in interviews... and pretty much always.

Harvey exudes charisma, way more than other lawyers. I think there's a very thin line to differentiate between confidence and arrogance. Tone and micro body language set a remarkable difference in the way you portray yourself and how others perceive you as.

You should do a video about why Olan Rogers (has a KZbin channel and created the show Final Space) is such an entertaining and effective story teller.

The only thing I didn’t like was when he said “you took another step toward earning my respect” I mean it was just cocky and made it look like he thinks he’s so special, thus, just making him look like a fool.

I work in federal government and many leaders were put here because of nepotism. They also have no desire to change the status quo.I don’t play games and if you don’t want to play ball to accomplish the established goals then I move on without you. And many feel threatened when you’re emotionally secure and don’t respond with fear.
