Stunning! If I was visiting the area and saw this painting in a shop, I'd buy it! I love watching you draw and paint architecture. It's very relaxing. I've been collecting photos so I can fill a sketchbook with drawing and painting. I'm almost finished with my sketchbook of studies of sea creatures.

I’ve just done the drawing in my sketchbook too 😉

You've excelled yourself this time, Lou. That was sensational! One of many learning points for me was leaving the sky blank. Sometimes daubing blue on seems so crass - it's often the wrong shade and sometimes detracts from the composition rather than enhancing it. Having messed up a sketch today by making a major mistake when committing to pen my other learning is: rant and rave as much as you like, but don't give up. Planning, thinking and watching are great but you'll never improve unless the graphite is actually in contact with the paper.

I’ve sketched it and now need to decide whether to add a splash of sky 🤨😉🤣

This is lovely. As you were painting, I wondered whether you were going to paint the cobbles, as it looked cool with them left white, but it also looks great with them painted. Nice. Love your work...

So good Lou!! Thank you for this video! Watching someone so much better than me, seeing how you create your art is inspiring. It shows me that if I keep at it, I can do that too!!

Just lovely! Did you do the whole thing in one sitting?

Thanks! I think I did it in two passes, one for the pen and another for the watercolour.
