Shabani is such a majestic Silverback, hes perfect . He shows great love and compassion for his family. He raised Annie, and the love he has for his first wife Nene is next level. These beautiful creatures know the true meaning and value of love and unity, something we humans lack these days.

They have feelings and emotions and there moments like anyone else right they make good parents and grandparents and uncles and aunties and stepparents and brothers and sisters they are very smart and intelligent animals always learning something new each day from the gorillas they make better parents and friends than most people out there much love and respect to the gorillas instead I will take them out to lunch or dinner and treat them as they don't mind leaving the tip appreciate a good laugh glad to see them eating well bon appetit enjoy your meal love you guys thanks hope all goes well such smart and intelligent loving animals we should stop and benefit and learn from the gorillas instead way to go very impressed !!! Kiyo has had to experience many new emotions and Shabani has been there for his troop. Shabani has shown Kiyo how to lead and is a good example for his troop to learn from. Kiyo is being taught by example and will be better for it. Following his father shows how much he is following his father's leadership and finds comfort in Shabani. They learn from examples like most humans do. This trial will make them stronger. Adversity is not bad if you can learn from it. Thank you to Staff for allowing this to be seen and taking care of Shabani Troop ❤

I know that all silverbacks are the leader of their troops, even in the wild, however Shabani is one of a kind....very unique. His emotions are out in the open for all to see (like he wears them on his sleeve). He is very sensitive. The love he has for his family is so apparent for all to see. I've never seen such personality in a silverback like I do in Shabani. When Annie was born and Ai rejected her (at the time), he was right there at the window of the room the keepers kept her in to watch her daily. I know we all watch and love D'jeeco, Haoko, and Momotaro here on You Tube, but Shabani wins my heart over. He acts like a human husband would if his wife were ill and being hospitalized. I can only hope and pray that Nene makes a full recovery. Thank you SAG for the update. 💖

I thought kiyo is strong enough to shoulder responsibilities as a silverback already, never imagined he will be so fragile without his mom... Wonder how long this bonding will last.. have been following Lopes gorilla too, he was a rascal indeed and seperated from his family earlier than expected unlike Kiyo & Gentaro... Zoos in Japan needs to plan out sooner for the daughters and sons so that no one will be injured as there is always an elderly in the troops ❤

I don't believe she is.. I think they are allowing her to pass and letting the other primates the opportunity to see the natural ending for Nene, which gives them the natural closure they need to see.

Zoos need to change glassed animal viewing to one-way glass to protect the integrity and somewhat natural ambiance and normal habitats of these captive animal enclosures.

I honestly do not know how this gorilla family cope with the constant noise of the visitors…..deafening at times, especially if you’re unwell.
