@@flaw3dgenius222 It's just additional content you won't have to bother even looking at. It's not like you're gonna get swarmed by drifters and cornered by them in the middle of your races or something lmao. Maybe you'll end up on the same track with one IF you frequently drive in open practice lobbies with all cars allowed, but other than that, this won't affect you in pretty much any way. If anything, this will only be beneficial to all of us whether we like drifting or not - simulating drifting accurately takes a lot more sophisticated and detailed of a tire model, as it will have to handle traction loss a lot better and replicate tire behavior once traction is broken in much greater detail than with high grip racing only. Especially iRacing used to be very guilty of cutting corners short in this department, which essentially led to people having to under-drive their cars since it was almost like a flip of a switch once you broke traction - you either had grip or you spun, with nothing in between. As they mentioned that they had to do some additional things outside of the cars themselves to accommodate drifting, I reckon this could potentially mean noticeably improved behavior and responsiveness at the edge of traction, allowing us to push further and drive cars at their utmost limit a lot more comfortably.

honestly this looks horrible. no wheel animation,head is locked forward, graphics are FRlegend level. how did you all shoot a video at an expo yet no one could even drift at all. did someone say "hey, can you make the worst representation of drifting you possibly can for the new mode?" this video perfectly showed why not to play it. good job marketing team

Maybe have another look...there is wheel animation. Also he's on an ultra wide so maybe that's why there's no "neck effects". Just go play Need for Speed till your mom calls you for dinner and let the grownups handle this
