Simon Hill is the most collegial interviewer of researchers of nutrition. He provides a platform that allows researchers the opportunity to express their findings and conclusions. I appreciate hearing his synthesis of the literature when he is the interviewee!!😁

I’ve experienced the opposite. Spent the first 25 years of my life eating meat and had serious digestive issues. Was 30 pounds overweight and suffered from constipation, bloating and sluggishness after eating. Sometimes I even experienced rashes after eating fish. 17 years vegan now and have never felt better.

Hi Sarah, You have a great podcast here. Congratulations. May I give you some constructive criticism though: your microphone has a lot of issues. It has barely any bass to it which sounds harsh but what is worse is that you hear any breathing sounds you make, any movement you make creates a booming sound and I even think I heard you click a computer mouse I think. Also background noises like ambulances etc are really available. To summarize: all these sounds are very distracting and make me lose focus on the guest speaker's message which really should be the key focus of the podcast.

I was going to say the same thing. Sarah, it's because you are using a condenser mic (Rode NT-1A I think it is) which will pick up any sound because it's a studio mic; I'd suggest a dynamic mic instead like Simon's. I believe your channel will go far. Great info.

What about the physicians committee who speak of studies that prostate cancer rose with those who supplemented with DHA/EPA?

vegan for 16 yrs , never felt better , 105 kg , 189 cm , amazing strenght and muscle gains in 30's on vegan diet . last 6 yrs on higher protein vegan aproach , before that mostly skipped legumes due to advice of Mcdougall and similar experts ( from which I learned so much BTW , read all Mcdougall newsletter , watched 1000 hrs of his lectures etc ) . But his advice on protein was wrong , plant protein is Healthy , you do not need to limit protein . BUT , eating only brown rice as said by dear expert , brother vegan , is NOT lacking aminos , you CAN eat just brown rice and be sufficient in protein I am eating a lots of variety , not just potatoes , not just raw , not just greens , not just grains ( Macrobiotic ideal is 90 % whole grains , I was into it 10 yrs ago ) . I am eating 180 g protein from legumes and other vegan foods per day , at 4000 calories per day . but you can survive and thrive at low protein regime too , I was eating under 10 % of protein for months when I was in my 20's . No problem with health at all , just less muscle gain and more fat gain , and bones little weaker . But I found out that meals with legumes etc , are so much tastier , and that my muscle and strenght gains on higher protein vegan regime , are better . In 30's now , I am not going to risk to lose any muscle , bone etc . Not every vegan can do this regime , most vegans should not go to 180-200 g protein per day , you are fine at 90-130 g per day , some people even less .

Doesn't the consumption of FISH also produce systemic inflammation, like ANIMAL products? Isn't the VEGAN diet better than the MEDITERRANEAN one, in terms of overall benefit? Why don't you interview Dr Michael Greger to get his take on the research he has perused?

I was vegan for at least 45 years with loads of digestive problems and even though I have always been a movement fanatic had problems with muscle growth.. I have now eaten meat and fish for the past 4 years and feel fantastic. No digestive problems and am more able to see some muscle growth (at the age of 75) I believe that we are all different and we cannot just presume there is just one way for everone
