Gae Baek Tul Applied

Gae Baek Tul performed with the applications demonstrated in Gen. Choi Hong Hi's Encyclopedia of Taekwon-Do. These applications are demonstrated against visible ghost opponents to show the target, intent, and application of each technique. Sound effects are added for fun.

Your forms applied series is both educational and entertaining. I would love to see your personal take on alternate applications either on the grade or degree patterns. You already did that once with Won-Hyo Hyung and it was very provocative, as it departs from the TK-D Encyclopedia established canon, taking the possible applications to another level. It also makes the patterns a more dynamic guideline tool as the application opens to more interpretations. Thanks for your videos .

Thanks for this video! This is the FIRST TIME I've seen moves 14 and 15 done as left hand opun sonkut tulgi & right hand release. Most seem to do left AND right opun sonkut tulgi, then left hand release. May I ask whose version this is please? I.E. who your Sabumnim was?

Good catch. That was actually a mistake on my part. I trains under Garry Dyals in Tampa FL and GM Park Jong Soo in Toronto.

Oh, cool. Sorry, didn't mean to nitpick. That's really cool. I trained under Master Kim Stones in England, and have just returned to training after a long break, so I'm getting back into things slowly. (including relearning my patterns) lol
