Jeff Glover does that to break the deep half guard, Mica here does the gi adaptation but same principle

Jeff Glover is on a completely different level than nearly everyone. I've never seen a competitor give their opponent mount to get out and still beat them.

bernardo demonstrated almost this exact same technique with another dude like last month... but the guy does it from side-control...and tricks opponent on bottom to catch the half-guard again, and then dude's already in position to take the back...

Once you grab the arm, I just want to know what’s stopping the other person from doing a John Wayne sweep? Grabbing that arm, the other person also has an opportunity to control your arm. I’m sure there is, just asking for my own knowledge so I know what I’m doing wrong if I get sweep. Thank you for awesome content!
