I try to keep away from Dc24s and 25s. More the dc24 than the 25 but I feel there is a lot of potential issues with them unlike a dc14/07 etc

I have indesit dishwasher which sometimes start on its own and wash dishes excellent however it refuses to start some days no matter how many times I switch it on and off it dosent start the wash program. Could u pls guide what can be done to it . Thanks

I did that, and the top cover switch assembly fell apart as I attempted to put it together again. Did finally succeed though.

Wasn't able to fix mine with what you showed here, but still very good info. At 2:10, you're able to manually spin the brush head on yours, but I can't do that on mine at all. Any ideas what could be the reason? Thanks!

I'd imagine the commutator on the armature inside it has exploded slightly, hence it's jammed up. Not much you can troubleshoot without dismantling it to check and peer through the motor housing to see the state of it. Good luck!

Why oh why is there a need for a “secret reset switch”? I’m sure it’s makes some wee man feel very important impressing a woman and charging a huge hourly rate 😡 Thank you for posting this video…this mere woman fixed it herself!

It’s not a secret switch, it’s the gray switch you normally push from the top (next to the red power button) he said it had been pushed so much that the button had gotten stuck inside the cover, so when he had the cover off he un stuck it. I think cause most people never know what the gray button does (including me until now) he called it secret.

@1966ldm I've fixed many more since filming this video and no one ever knows it's there when I've told them what I've fixed 😂 Some do fail but still push/click too (but probably after being repeatedly smashed for ages)

The red button doesnt have that click sound when i press it ( 3:43 ) is that got to do with anything for the roller brush to not spin since your video didnt work.

May well do, it has to 'click' to latch on. Does it run if you hold the button down to hold the switch on?

Can't undo that screw as no screw driver will fit and an Alan key won't fit either. Now what?

It's a torx head screw. Specifically size T15. Any generic driver kit will most likely have one.
