Simple Encoded Multi Item Sorter for Minecraft Java 1.19

Its fast (hopper speed), its quiet, and its probably one of the simplest encoded multi-item sorters you are likely to see on KZbin. If you want to keep your storage sorted in minecraft but don't want to have to deal with massive or complex redstone, this is the video you need to watch.
Also seen in this video is the design seen on SamosTheSage's channel here: • Minecraft Extremely Fa... - please visit there for what is probably the best reserved slot multi-item I've come accross that works very well in conjunction with not only my encoded sorter but also most other encoded item sorters.
Also show towards the end is a stackable/non-stackable item filter that is also silent and works at hopper speed without worrying about burning out torches.
Sorry, no block by block tutorial, but please let me know in the comments below if this is something that is wanted.
One more thing - this can be made one-wide-tilable in the same way that the RaPsCaLLioN's design is one wide tilable. Rather than interleaving, this design hangs completely to one side of the chests and above anyway, so just build it on the other side. The design pretty much sits above and behind the line of chests anyway.
I've updated the litematic file and validated it works in 1.20.4: elhedran-minecraft-public.s3.... - it may be a little more compact than what is shown in the video.

i actually built something similar but a lot less fast but just having a chests filled up ( like the one that you did with the saplings ) and then just having hoppers being powered and unpowered as they went down then and they went back up and then went to the next row. never made a video for it tho as my original intent for it was for a menu system for my massive storage system so it didnt needed to be super fast. but this is honestly super impressive

A bit like kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWibZXWerZKsqZI ? There are a few takes on hopper tower reserved slot sorters out there. I've found if you go too fast on that style it can be unreliable. That's (one of the reasons) why I like SamosTheSages's version. Fast and reliable.

Could you link the video? I'd like to see the design - I saw a couple on your channel that might have been it but wasn't sure. Nice videos by the way, love the production value you put into them. I tend to get a bit lazy once the redstone works (I'm kinda driven by "that can't be the best way to build that" more than "I want more views").

@@elhedran so i actually don't have a video for it yet because i'm not completely satisfied with a my mass storage system idea, maybe ill make a video on a multi item sorter as i'm actually quite satisfied with that part of the mass storage in the future just because i take about a week to make one video and most of that time is just figuring out the redstone behind whatever i am building, i also have a video lined up that i need to record and edit. also thank you sometimes i do also think about " the best way of building something" but what ends up happening is that i want to build some big but i need to make something smaller to make the big thing work and that's how i get some of my small videos that don't get too much views but im happy with them just because how much thinking went behind them

Honestly I do not know if it works on a paper server. I would say odds are good it will given there is no block update order dependence or particularly weird timings but I have not tried it on a paper server myself.

Sigh, I keep forgetting the old design video is up. The video attracted to this comment thread probably does not work on paper as it does have an issue with dropper update interference depending on orientation. The updated simpler design is the one I was referring to in terms of "good odds"
