What's all this guff about "chord neutering"? How am I ever going to learn a different voicing of the chords I DO know if you're telling people to neuter them all? Hey, show a little compassion... these chords have a right to pursue happiness, don't they? Would you deny us all the ability to play "little chords"? Some people want to fill the world with silly love songs! What's wrong with that?

great lessons man you have a great attitude and temperament towards music and the teaching of it. People forget that music is supposed to be fun and has the ability to open up a spiritual door in anyone who has the ability to set aside their ego and competitive side. (putting people on a pedestal or counting up someones flaws). We are all different, we all learn differently. Peace from CT and keep up the good work.

Couldn't agree more, such a relaxed method. I have only been messing around for 50 years but since the grandkids picked up my old Eko the urge came back and that cost a new Yamaha. You are playing the song way to slow. When going by sheet music tabs and listening to the song directly from Lynard Skynard, the song is much faster. I find that the Nashville system tends to be off by a bit when trying to teach people who are not used to sheet music. I find looking at Tabs and each note located above the exact word that they fall on is the best. I have been playing guitar for 25 years now.

+Kenny L. Cobb, Jr. Seems to me Erich's playing right on the original tempo when demonstrating the song in the beginning of the video. Then, he slows it down a little for the individual lesson chunks so that folks who haven't been playing guitar for so long can pick it up.
