Really enjoy your videos! I have had the privilege of hunting some of the best deer land in Mi. My father purchased large tracts of land by himself or with others. Many of the areas you visit are similar t o the land I've walked and hunted.Your style of explaining scenarios and sign is great for advanced and beginner hunters. With the decline in hunting numbers your style, techniques, and knowledge would really lend itself to a hunting seminar for youth interested in hunting. You seem very approachable and kind and I see some resemblance to Norton on the Honeymooners lol. Please keep up the good work you are an inspiration to get in the woods

I'm really hoping that you'll film one of your hunts I'd bet it will be awesome to see you hunt one of the spots you found in the off season

No good inventory to show off from your licking branch all summer? Good luck Dale. I harvested a decent buck this evening around 5:30pm Blessed to get 2 buck tags in Michigan 🦌

Preston, many of my areas I do not use cameras. If I see an area that shows the sign I am looking for, then I will hunt it.

Hi Dale. Are you nervous or apprehensive at all about putting your scent in there that close this late in the game? Even tho you weren’t in his bedroom they can get very skiddish about their staging areas as well. Wouldn’t a scout and hunt in the same day during the rut make more sense? Sorta don’t give him a chance to smell that you been there kinda thing..

I'll be honest with you Rich, I don't overthink anything when I scout, because I will simply go on on a feeling,if that makes sense. I love scouting for hot scrapes in new areas at the end of october, and then hunting them the very next morning.I do agree with you as far as leaving a possible scent. But this is his home.I have found that it takes quite a bit to kick him out of his home area. The one thing I really never do is to overheat areas. In the Northwoods here ,I have endless areas lined up to hunt, that many times I don't even get a chance to hit them all.But this area I would not be back until the end of october, which by then I have found usually everything back to normal.

I get black bear and deer on the same cam on the same day. Predators are a fact of life for them. They might not even associate a hunters ground scent with danger in the big northern forests.

@Buckman-101 how do you get them out of the woods nowadays Dale on a little more advanced age?

@Buckman-101 I've noticed with big bucks, it takes a lot to kick them out. we definitely can over think hunting
