The section of F-stop was SO helpful. I’ve used your camera setup videos before and got tons of compliments on how much better my quality got, but I’ve been stuck on being a little overexposed and wanting to blur my background more. Pretty sure the exposure issue is better with these changes, and now know that I need a better lens if I want the blurry background. Thank you for this!

Great video Meredith. I use my camera mode when shooting my wife’s KZbin channel. It can be intimidating when you first start. It took me about 10 videos to finally dial in the settings with camera and lighting.

I appreciate how you simplified this. I am a former freelance sports photographer shooting any one from Larry Bird and the Boston Celtics to standing on the sidelines taking photos of the Indianapolis Colts, etc.. I shot with two Canon F-1's with motor-drive systems. Everything was manual and after a while the cameras became part of my body. This was many years ago when instead of using an SD card, I used what was known back then a "film".... ;) Just teasing. But seriously, I'm embarrassed to ask this, but I can't even figure out how to get to most of the settings you are showing. Im using a Canon EOS T5. I'm guessing there are others out there who have the same issue but are afraid to ask. Just a suggestion f, make a video just like this one but go back one more step. you showed the video camera on the dial setting, now what buttons do we push to get to each setting? Film?! What’s that?? Haha! The menu settings are so different (even just getting TO the menu) on the various cameras. I tried to cover the settings themselves since how to get to the settings will vary from camera to camera. But! A quick way to find them is to download the manual as a PDF and use the search function to find the specific settings your looking for. Thanks for your comment!

Did you shoot this video using the Auto or Manual mode? And did you record it directly from Descript? Ihave the same camera and great lantern lighting but can't get the quality of your videos..not sure what am I doing wrong

It’s been awhile since I shot this, but I would have recorded in manual mode. I don’t remember exactly my method of recording (might have been straight to camera?).
