I’ve been playing tekken since I was kid, I’m having to reverse years of engrained button mashing and 10 hit combos your channel has been the best help hands down on KZbin

always a treat when we get a new zug upload. as a new player this was crazy to figure out. i use pad and have mapped 1+2, 3+4, 1+3, 2+4 on the shoulder and trigger buttons, u can get a lot of mileage by those. some times u get some fucky missinputs but i would suggest u use this overall.

For Anna players: if you want to buffer the 2 break chain throws there's a certain speed of mashing ki charge to get the 2 break. Spamming fastly gives you 1 break. 3 equally timed mashes gives you the 2 break. Also button buffering is like the answer to all Chloe players. 12 string df2 string, 2:2 punisher by using 21 kicharge,

Honestly, this feels like a noob trap to me. Someone else already mentioned having to relearn your inputs down the road with new moves getting added (which is more work than just learning the normal input once I think wed all agree) but also just taking the time to practice single, clean, intentional inputs will help you develop a much better sense of timing and rhythm (which helps with combos) and at distinguishing between your turn and your opponents. Still appreciate the video ofc, knowing more about the input buffer helps figure things out if I mess up with muddy inputs.

Back in the day, there was a guy at the local game rent store that was great at tekken 3 and taugh me this trick while teaching king's grabs. I would still lose to buttom spamming eddies, but this skill is something I still use today

*Alternate input* mechanic can also lead to higher damage properties or hurt you if game adds new moves: I used a lot of "alternate" inputs even for single moves for yoshi in tekken 3 like his qcf2 i always did with qcf1+2 with binded buttons since i play on pad. In tekken 7 the qcf1+2 is a new move so now i must relearn the move properly. His kangaroo kick 3~4 i always used 3~3+4 instead with shoulder button since it was easier for me. On the other side *alternate input* can lead to more damage for the same move. In tekken 3 you could do certain kicks with 3+4 instead just 3 and do massive damage. Laws kick was a 45 fast move: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWKbd6acmMilnck *Buffering* QCB moves are primed for buffering on blocked low moves. Yoshi rainbow drop command throw qcb1+2 is a good move for this. With kazumi after fff2 on hit i hold 2 to just input 4 for tiger makes it more reliable.
