I don't agree with the technical arguments. A fighting game that accepts stick input could absolutely emulate an arcade stick's hot zones if it wanted to, just without the satisfying clicks / haptic feedback.

Bro, I literally spent 4 hours today switching from stick to d-pad sparring with a buddy on Samsho V and this gets recommended to me now. Kind of late, lmao

Been using the pad analog stick for SF4, SF5 and SF6 and won't stop.

One of the biggest things I think makes learning Tekken hard is there are a lot of moves/strings I would consider noob traps. They seem great, it's probably safe, natural on counter hit and all your friends get hit by it but it has a glaring weakness you don't even see yet. Take Law's junkyard for example, it's got fast start up the mid is safe and there's even a mix up. A lot of people rely on things like this then run into the guy that low parries the second hit in the string every time

Tho it's easier to execute motion inputs on the thumb stick, it's also easier to accidentally input it, like me, playing amane on BBCF, doing the, 5C, 2C, 4C, 1C, but when i go from 2C to 4C, i accidentally make it a 214C and special attack by accident So i use the d-pad until i need to do a half circle :)

So when that ugly Asuka player told me that "asuka can be thrown out of rage art with a "1 command throw" what he was actually telling me is that "your generic throws wont work but Im not going to specify that because my character is full of gimicky nonsense"

Lotta folks in the comments are gravitating towards his rant aspect of the video on analogue being bad & missing the factual info he drops on how the tech works for the inputs for both controllers. D-pad is harder but once masterd it is just simply is faster than analogue & gives an advantage....dont deny it till u try it for urself. Point is : Personal preference is pointless if u haven't actually tried the other controller options to an extent of mastery that u can then recognise which controller is giving u the advantages ur looking for. So don't rule something out till u have actually tried it properly.

If your by wall, pray and survive is the only option

This may sound odd. If a move is positive on block, than that is move is safe on block. Right? If most characters fastest move is 10 frames, a move that leaves you -9 on block would still be safe right?

How do you feel about beginners playing characters that are normally considered "difficult" for example I hear Bryan Fury is hard but he's the one that calls out to me the most love his style and ferocity and I remember loving him growing up on Arcade older versions. Does this type of "Difficulty" only really matter in the much higher ranks and at this level is it more negligible.
