Did you have to do any mods to fit the non standard seat? I have this unit and I added two pieces of aluminum, one on either side of the tray using the existing bolts from the motor tray side to the one of the existing bolts on the same side bottom frame. Makes it a bit more cumbersome to get into the cockpit but I feel it is even sturdier. Also did you find the feet better than the wheels? Thanks you did a way better job explaining how it goes together than the instructions or the video from Next Level. Thanks!

Hi Barry, Really enjoy you videos. I recently picked up a GT Track and Heusinkveld sprint pedals which I really enjoy and one thing that I want to do is raise them a bit in addition to giving them a little more support since the stock mounting plate for the Heusinkveld has the U channel hitting the pedal plate pretty far from the edges of the GT track support members and causes some flex.. I can live with the flex but really want to raise them up a bit.. Would it be possible for you to provide where you got all the aluminum profile parts needed to mount your uber pedals to the GT Track? Thanks again and look fwd to your future videos.

As of right now, I have a full fanatec clubsport setup. I am looking to upgrade though. I can't decide if I should buy a new set a pedals of (HE Sprint) or a new wheelbase (Fanatec Podium). What do you think I should upgrade first?
@ODIOPOWER5 жыл бұрын
i had a similiar experience to yours in the past, from full Club Sport to high end stuff. I took the osw first and the HE's pro later. The OSW direct drive is a light year better than the CS v2.5 but is not plug and play like fanatec stuff. You will fiddle a lot before finding the way you like, but it's worth evry dollar, prolly the Posium DD will be a lot easier to setup and be ready to race once you installed. The pedal, now i have the He's Pro, coming from the CS v3. The brake is phenomenal, you cant even put those two in comparison, dunno the Sprint how it is but i presume they are good too. The Gas and clutch pedal on the CS v3 are good, is hard to to better. Is the end ill adivise you to get the DD base first, pedal when you have the income. Be sure to have a good rig to put those high end component on, you don't wonna have any flex while racing. (srr for my english....)

Hi Barry, you said you dont like any flex. But isnt there flex in NLRv3 ? Or doesnt that bother you?
@simracinggarage30265 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is noticable when not activated. As is any seat mover design. This because of the pivot point used. Some designs are worse than others. However, when you are running, the flex is not noticable because the motion is masking it. Also, the flex can be minimized by using a quality one piece bucket seat. I do my best to eliminate flex in all areas of my setup. Some efforts are more successful than others.
@zaneislandd46505 жыл бұрын
@@simracinggarage3026 Thanks for answer ! Happens that I will get my NLRv3 next week, but the thing I feared the most is that lose consistency in breaking. Now I have aluminium rig and good bucket seat and zero flex, good to hear that hopefully Im not inducing annoying flex to my setup👍

Nice informative guide as always. Having purchased a GT Ultimate version 1 several years ago I can see the same inherent design flaws are still apparent in the latest generation of sim cockpits from this manufacturer. Inflated retail,Chinese quality manufacture,pedal and wheel deck flex,poor shifter plate design particularly if considering anything above a Th8a shifter as well as the omission of a decent one piece seat are all points to consider. My GT rig required serious bracing to remove flex and movement when installing a Derek Spears design sequential shifter as did the wheel deck. Be prepared for some tool time if you want a solid rig. Just my humble opinion.

@HomieFFM5 жыл бұрын
@@markkovalcson7243 won't work on straight surfaces because of the longer depth, or on my rig it would hit also some part at the back and wouldn't work... if they only would build something like here in the video that would be nice. I just looked at the Simetik K2 and it has the 3 holes in the plate for the Fanatec DD to bolt right up. The plate looks like it will tilt a bit as well. If you need a little height for more tilt, get some longer 6mm bolts and spacers. Done. It's not a big deal to make that work.
