I am so stoked that this was your pick!!!! #1 Zeppelin song for me, by my #1 rock band, LED ZEPPELIN!!!!

I’m about to lose my worried mind trying to learn this. How the hell did Jimmy come up with all of this? Absolute genius. Every time I try to learn a Zeppelin song I’m left in awe of just how good Jimmy Page was during that time. His timing and phrasing is something I just can’t seem to get, no matter how hard I try.

One of the most beautiful, affecting musical passages in the history of mankind. Well done!

The genius of Jimmy Page. So good. Add Robert’s insanely powerful singing, and of course Bonham and Jones. Greatest band of all time. Thank you for doing this one.

Raw, emotive expression; that's Page. He makes us feel. Obvious that you've listened to this track ad-infinitum. Great lesson full of details & nuance.

Holy sht! Not two hr ago, out of the blue I decided to go back and learn a few bits and pieces of this track that I’ve either forgotten or never knew! Mostly the modulation/Arpeggios after the solo! I was just about to start searching and you popped up on my timeline! All strange since I haven’t thought of this awesome trek for years!

Never heard the Moby Grape version "Never" - I always wondered where Jimmy got this stuff- it's pretty clear he and Robert were listening to that before they did this- especially Roberts lyrics- super "ripped off" but I do love what Jimmy did with the transition chords and I really like that you pointed that out in the lesson- I've always wondered what was "going on" behind those chords song chord progression-wise- your insight was terrific! Always wanted to pull this out at a blues jam but was never able to describe to the bass player (always different people of course at a jam) that transition section- so now I can! Have to go over to your patreon lesson to really get it down now!

I have to ask, what is your Les Paul (year, etc)? Cardinal Red? The money for me is the missing pickup switch plate. Reminds me of an old Gold Top. It just has a cool vibe. Love it!

2011 R8, translucent red
@tomc427125 күн бұрын
@@12footchain wow! I researched "red" Les Pauls and I was convinced it was cardinal red. I'll have to go check it out. It's one of those guitars that just struck me when I saw it. It's hard to see the wood grain through the red in the videos, that's probably what fooled me. Your videos are excellent. The research you put in is incredible.
