Tori Kelly wasn’t really a KZbinr per se. She just started uploading covers after she got rejected by Simon Cowell in American Idol auditions IIRC. Her most famous video’s probably her PYT cover. She never really stayed as a KZbinr. She started putting out music as early as 2012(?) I believe. Nobody Love’s probably her most popular. She’s also collabed with big artists with songs like I Was Made For Loving You with Ed Sheeran and Name with Justin Bieber. I sound like a Wikipedia article right now lol I just love her. Truly one if, if not THE underrated vocalist of the current generation.

I just gotta say that Johnny is easily my favorite character in this movie, and his rendition of "I'm Still Standing" is how became a fan of both Taron Egerton and Elton John simultaneously, and it's also why I'm almost always listening to the "Rocketman" soundtrack in my free time to this very day.

I believe it was said somewhere that Mike indeed met his end after the end of the movie, although it might have been like a case of "it was a deleted scene but that's what played out in the director's head even for the final version." Someone would need to confirm or deny that. I'd personally like if he came back and had a change of heart arc but idk.

I actually really enjoy this movie even its sequel too. NGL they could have went the route with Rosita and her marriage trouble with her husband where they could have them get a divorce or separated and have her fall for Gunter and be with him. I honestly thought that was going to happen, but they went with the happy route where she loves him regardless and he got a reality check right away of who he’s married to.

There's so much going on in this movie. Johnny talking to his dad in the prison is deliberately framed like a coming out scene and almost all of his songs are by gay artists. Before we head to the finale we have songs by George Michael, Leonard Cohen and David Bowie - who all passed away shortly before the movie released. Obviously that wasn't planned but it makes the movie just that much more poignant. Meena bringing down the house has her performing in fronft of a full moon - it's literally the moon giving the Moon Theatre its blessing.
