Hi, professional voice teacher here, I STRONGLY recommend starting these warm-ups about an octave lower than they do if you are trying to build falsetto for the first time. What they fail to point out is that her male "example singer" is obviously someone who has worked on their voice, probably for years, and has retained falsetto throughout his vocal change at puberty. You CANNOT sing like that right off the bat as an adult make if you haven't maintained vocal health throughout your late teens. Start lower, work your way up. Side note, I have been teaching voice lessons for over ten years and have never had an adult male singer who could falsetto as high as this guy does.

I sang falsetto (alto) throughout my college teen and early twenty years in my church choir, and I have not sung any thing since I graduated 7 years ago, i tried this now and I didnt really have so much problems, but I noticed i was way more breathy than when I was in college choir. what do you think? did I just get older or ? I coul hit even his highest notes, with good effort level (just almost maxed out my ability/not super comfortable)

Hi, can you please teach me how to higher voice? I can't rech G4 note as chest voice in "On The Wings Of Love without making it loud to reach the G4 note. Are there ways to train voice to reach higher notes?
@johnmorshead59906 жыл бұрын
Hi Rebekah. Just to make it clear: DO NOT USE HIS VOICE AS AN EXAMPLE. It is not that good, and his falsetto still seems new and untrained (which is fine) but it is not good for teaching. Look up opera counter tenors, and then you will hear proper falsetto. His voice just is not good enough.

The voice teacher is correct. You must sing in the lower register- and work your way up. Thats what I did to sing like the Late Johnny Wilder of Heat wave. He's a great Tenor/ Falsetto singer. I'm a self taught Multi- instrumentalist/ singer/songwriter. Music is just a hobby now- I don't do it professionally anymore.

1. As a professional vocal coach and singer, this falsetto is VERY high. 2. This is clearly a tenor voice which may not be your vocal type which means you might just have a lower set voice which is perfectly fine. 3. Build it slowly similar to a Micky Mouse type voice at start and then start to try to pitch that same feeling xo @@yougotgroove

Hi , I play a few Billie Eilish songs on my Fender villager 12 string acoustic guitar and sing along to them but really want to improve falsetto, 6 of her songs I sing most are "Bellyache" "six feet under" "Ocean eyes" "Happier than ever" "Everything I wanted" and "Party Favor" I need to use a capo on the 3rd fret to match my voice I find this easier and doesn't strain my voice I usually sing using an American accent and it sounds better!! I play and sing those songs every day spend about 3 hours on my guitar. I find that the more you sing them the better they get and they also sound great on a 12 string I hate just playing tunes on guitar I prefer to sing. I do play quite a lot of other stuff but love Billie's songs I want to improve falsetto as I know being a male it can be hard to sing some of her stuff but I still love singing them!! Hello Anna, first off thank you for all the great informations you've shared with us, it has really helped me out thank you!! So for my question, I have a very low chest voice : G2-A#4 ( B5 with headvoice), and I was wondering o n how I am supposed to sing songs that are way to high for me? For example "Into you" from Arianna grande, I will never hit that A5 Belt, so I was wondering if instead of starting with the 3d ocatv ( like she does ), I should use my G2 and then go up to an A#4 Belt. Would that sound okay or terrible? haha
@VerbaVocal7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for commenting. It's hard for me to say if it would sound good or not without hearing it. Every voice is different. Have you tried doing what you describe? If that is a song which is out of your range then you can either transpose it or change the tune on the sections you find hard, or sing an octave below. Play around and see what works for you.

I can't hit falsettos higher than C5 I can but it turns into headvoice, There's a break in between, I think around D5 then my falsettos break. My highest falsetto is probably D5 My highest H.V is like um A6 ? My highest Whistle note is i think C8

Hello I'm new to any form of musical voice practice, I've been doing these practices and the warm-up for quite some time now, I feel most of the time I'm not quite getting it, am I just starting at two high-level the practice? I'm also doing this in part for vocal strengthening.

Hey nice video!!! I used to have this flawless falsetto maybe 5 years ago but has disappeared over time. It’s probably because I stopped using it as often. I’m not a bass I’m more a Baritone/Tenor and some times I can sing in falsetto but it doesn’t last long and it’s turns out to be just this airy sound (without and notes being produced) so I’ve had to switch to head voice! Is there anything I can do besides these exercises to improve my falsetto again?

Hitting a note and sustaining it clearly is one thing, but for me it's only worthwhile if it can be performed without that shrill quality to the timbre. That's a pretty rare skill for males, very much with learning, pulled off by the very few like Prince and Vitas, and the occasional Motown vocalist...

im just found myself as a countertenor weeks ago after 3months of singing/learning, all these notes are hit so easily using falsetto/headvoice.. but if force myself using chest voice, only can belt to G4 then automatically change to strong falsetto/headvoice if go higher.. i want C5 in chest !! its like a mission impossible..

As a guy I could hit the top c but without vibrato I can't sing vibrato while singing some high notes I could hit comfortably. If I try singing vibrato while hitting the high notes It would become more difficult for me. I need help getting vibrato

Singing such a breathy falsetto is detrimental to the vocal folds because it dries them out super fast. Best way to learn how to add that breathy aspect is to learn how to sing less breathy by doing alot of “oo” vowel sounds but instead of making it super breathy like they did here, try catching the note on the dot. Make it less breathy, practice that, and your voice will grow. Then practice other vowels and eventually, it’ll grow enough so singing breathy is easier and less safe.

I went here because no sound comes out when I try to sing falsetto. It feels like there's something clogged in my nasal area when I try to do it. Should I be worried?

Sometimes I go to a eb6 in falsetto but sometimes and I wanna be there as easy as a C6 for me, so with this practice I’m going to be able to hit that note? Also I can go higher but only in inhaled whistle register
