I came to see if anyone else noticed e99. According to Wiki Einsteinium (aka e99, egg) was used to synthesize, for the first time, 17 atoms of the new element mendelevium in 1955 (that explains 1955). The writers seems to have seen how E99 looked like egg which they used as a double entendre, meaning "which came first the chicken on the egg?" (aka time travel). (EDIT) 2:33 E99

"How did I miss this Gem" My thoughts exactly when I first played it 3 years ago. Loved it so much I immediately started a second playthrough after I finished it. Games like this deserve a proper remaster and a second chance for success.

It’s a cracking game. This and spec ops the line are real treasures. I also enjoyed bulletstorm for it’s variety of ways to splatter enemies.

Yeah, Spec Ops and Bulletstorm were awesome. Another great shooter is "Hard Reset Redux". Binary Domain and Vanquished were also great. Lately, all I've been doing is going back and playing the older games, and I'm loving it. Games were fun back then. They were never too long, either. Short and Sweet. Like Singularity. It really was the perfect length for a videogame.

@@TurnerTurnip I’m doing the same! I’ve played and beaten all of those except binary domain in the last few months. Just beat Singularity too. I’ve played some that were considered “bad” at the time like Inversion and Bodycount and found plenty of enjoyment in those too

@@Johnnyboi1986 I hear Inversion is also good, but sadly, I tried playing it awhile back, but had some issues. I should probably try playing it again, since I'm now on a new computer. Speaking of issues. I originally played Binary Domain on my XBOX360, but tried playing it again on my PC through Steam, and I could not get my gamepad to work. BTW, thanks for mentioning Body Count. I've never played that game before. I'll definitely check it out.

@@TurnerTurnip No prob. I’ve got a pretty big backlog of these old shooters on PS3 so I’m going through them one by one. Bodycount is a pretty generic FPS but it’s got some decent music and gameplay, and there are lots of explosions and things blowing apart lol. It was a fun few hours.

I think I bought this game on sale from steam for like 5$ or something, reviews were good and look interesting. I was actually surprised how much fun I had in this game. I want a sequel but it would need work.

It looks like they modeled the projectile from the "gyrojet" rounds that appear very similar. Plus it's a futuristic rifle that can control rounds in flight, so it's irrelevant anyways lol.

When this game first came out, I didn't hear anything about its release, but I stumbled across it at game stop. Best story driven FPS I ever bought. Hands down

Excellent timing that you are reviewing this. As such, I just picked up a used copy of this game for the old console, a few weeks ago. Played it back in 2010 and enjoyed it thoroughly. I forgot about it and then stumbled across some gameplay on KZbin and was inspired to buy it. Because I played it 10 years ago, I only had a very hazy recollection of the game's plot. But I do remember how brilliant the gameplay was. You can tell from your game play footage, that the PC version, is the best looking version, compared to the old generation console versions. Having said that, I'm having a blast, revisiting this game after a decade.

While I still love the game, I do wish that you could use the weapons that the Soviets use in the 1955 segments (I hate unusable enemy only guns in fps games)that, and maybe a new game plus mode

The coolest element of the game that everyone should mention in any videos featuring Singularity is how the minigun works. The reason why the magazine size is so small compared to the ammo count is that it’s not actually a magazine but a battery. The gun uses time manipulation to shoot a SINGLE bullet, rewind time so that it goes back into the gun, and shoot it again over and over!

The Evil Bastard ending was the first one I got and I was so happy that the devs actually considered letting you take that route. Easily one of the most satisfying ways to wrap up a story.

Mack. WAB Subsistence! Sandbox survival base-builder with NPCs that build bases in the world too. Dynamic seasons and weather. It is brutally hard too.

My God you've got to do a RETRO review of Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay. It's one of the best and incredibly enjoyable games I ever played. I loved Singularity as well! :-)

Wolfenstein 2009 is also a hidden gem by Raven I feel. I miss these type of games on consoles. We got boomer shooters back yea. But Half Life style shooters are missing. Prey, Industria and Atomic Heart are the only ones we got during the past dacade.

This was one of my favorite games! It really never got much attention for some reason. From what I recall the game was pretty short and linear, they could've done a lot more with the mechanics in the game to encourage (more/substantial) exploration but still enjoyed it a lot.

i loved this one back in the day, played it on hardest difficulty - struggling against the tough enemies that were merciless and attacked from every direction (crawling monster mutants), that is, until i got the glove... and the feeling of power and revenge was so great, the once annoyingly tough enemies had it coming as i froze them in the time bubble and ripped them to shreds
