Onkel Po’s club in Hamburg. A place with a vibe. Where Al Jarreau launched practically 5 years earlier. Why did that time create the music that transformed us all? Where did it go? No one in this video that night cared a kick about social media or what to E it was. We all just listened- and want d more. Some of even took up our own musical journey. Man it was great. I need to look forward but looking back teaches me so much - and it seems more alive than ever. I’m grateful I can studio this music now and learn from it. What a gift.

hey rex. thats his old gibson es-175. i think its from 1958. He took out the bridge pickup as you can see, and the switch, just filled them in. He played this until the late 90s i think (along with his ibanez) but then retired it. He used flat wound strings and turned the tone almost all the way down. Add his true chorus sound invention and micro delay and you got the sound! @ Rex Shaffer
