I expected Ailyn would be a blunder live but she did have a few good moments. And hey the band did good letting her sing lower for the rest of the concert. She just can't quite hit her highs anymore. She isn't bad by any means, just not at her best anymore. The band made a good choice switching her out for Emma Zoldan. I am sorry, but no one will hold a candle to Monika Pedersen though. She was hands down the best singer Sirenia ever had.

Agreed on that. As much as I love Ailyn and her contribution to Sirenia (with mind numbing performances like Tragedienne, Cold Caress and such), she holds no contest with Monika. She is, and always will be, the best singer they ever had. But in familiar Veland style, he fired her out the door on "creative differences", because, like a certain finnish dude, he demands 100% control. Dare to speak against him, out the door you go :(

the problem is not with her voice, she was dealing with health issues and the band's misshandling the issue. They failed to make sure she's got access to lactose-free diet on tour. She said in an interview that as she was singing on the stage, she was a lot of times more focused on not having an accident on the stage (in her own words shit herself) rather than hitting the notes. And this makes me sad and quite angry. That's eventually why they fired her. For her health issues which made it difficult for her to tour. Which is pretty lame, because it's an easily avoidable issue.

+Javier Martinez Totally agree with you. She is terrible, I wouldn't be excited in a concert where the singer herself doesn't give any indication that she really wanted to be there on stage. What happened to Tristania and Sirenia ? You enter on Tristania's website, the last "News" is from May 2014. The front page advertises the "New album out now.....from 2013". This is outrageous ! Are they expecting to have news fans like this ? Completely ignoring the trends of digital media ? And now Sirenia...a band that started as a good project, and now is a band without a bass player (!!!!!) and with a terrible, deplorable female vocal.
