I was just listening to the original a few days ago. I had just watched a couple KZbin videos about the origins and influences of Punk, New Wave, Goth, Ska and Ska Punk music. I thought to myself "You wouldn't have to change too much to this song to make it a good raggae or ska song." And then I see this today proving my point.

I can't tell if the bassist is playing the beginning notes on the A on the 5th fret of the E string or the open A string. I have seen it tabbed both ways and its driving mem nuts. It kinda looks like he's using the A on the E string at times but its not really clear since they don't focus on it like they do the guitar.
