According to another family member, Ruby comes from a long line of abuse. One of Ruby's cousins said that the whole family tree is infected from the roots to the leaves. She said abuse is a generational thing in their family. Kevin was always in agreement with the disciplining of the children way before Jodi came into the picture. Kevin condoned and was a willing participant in the disciplining of the children. From Chad sleeping on the floor to Eve having to pack her own lunch at age 6. Eve was not allowed to participate in a family skiing trip because she left her jacket at school. Ruby discussed it in front of Kevin and he was in agreement. Kevin is not some innocent little victim.

Jodi has done this to other families. It takes very little to get a temporary restraining order. She will convince the wife to file for this, then have the wife call and apologize and ask to meet up, then charge the husband with attempting to violate the restraining order when he shows up!!! So many of her victims have been speaking out. I’m not saying the dad here is a perfect saint but his story completely makes sense if you know about Jodi Hildebrandt. She has sent fathers to jail for stuff like this. He could very reasonably be afraid of being arrested if he tried to see his kids.

The younger kids were in home owned by Jodi, its different town (St. George) and seperated from the older 2 kids, which were all time in Springville. Its place where Kevin has no access and Ruby was there with them long time, as she was leaving the older kids alone in Springville. More questionble is why CPS and Police not do anything more than come to the Sprinville house and leave when nobody was answeing. They were there 15 times, why they not asked for search warrant on the Springville house, they could get know where the younger kids are and alert St. George police to check the house owned by Jodi. Jodi had already same cause for starving her own niece.

Yes indeed! Bonnie is a far cry from mother of the year. She had a younger woman at one time taking care of her children and she made the girl clean the toilets.....it's all in her video library. It was around the time Bonnie was getting the butt implants or chin surgery in California....she was leaving the children and traveling to and from when they were quite young, and then she got a bit hooked on the pain meds if I recall correctly. She got off the meds and overall she is driven to make her KZbin channel successful. Sadly, however, it has come at the price of her children. She wouldn't have had a channel if not for them.

I’m watching on from overseas and there’s a clear pattern with these religious zealot families, from the Duggars to Vallow’s family and now Ruby’s (I could list others), they all follow the same textbook pattern: -Deflect from the true situation at hand and revert to self-centred pity and fake tears as their MO when someone in their family is caught out. I suspect it’s actually their way of playing the martyr role, just like their Jesus, I think they’re egos are feeding off playing the martyr. -Instead of focusing on the abused children in each case I mentioned, they make the kids the reason they’ve had shame brought upon their family and been forced into martyrdom, instead of the actual perpetrator. In this case Ruby has thrown her son under the bus. -They blame society or others for luring or tricking the perpetrator into sin. They never take accountability. It’s sick. Finding a scapegoat into victimising the perpetrator (in this case it’s blaming Hilderbrand) And as the peripheral characters claiming themselves the Martyrs left to pick up the pieces, they make sure to relish in the media attention and prophet if possible. This predictable pattern needs to be called out and condemned, they deserve no airtime. Another consistent pattern is claiming there were no previous red flags, when they’re overwhelmingly obvious to everyone else. They claim the perpetrator was always an angel and this came out of nowhere shocking everyone. As is happening again, claiming it only began when hildebrand came into the picture, when the parents were clearly showing their true nature many years prior. They seem incapable of understanding basic human nature and psychology and how to spot early signs of abuse, or understanding that abuse is often a slow burn until it reaches such terrible ends. Which is terrifying when taking into account they breed like rabbits. All they care about is the shame being brought upon the family, and blaming the true victims while scapegoating the perpetrator and basking in their martyrdom. There’s something so sinister about these cults and their brainwashing and dumbing down to a child like naivety of their followers. This predictable pattern and playbook really needs to be acknowledged and addressed at a national level or else it will continue to happen to so many families in these whacko organisations. Would you trust your child’s safety with them, any of the families I’ve mentioned?

I’d heard of 8 passengers when my daughter was younger (she liked the children but told me their parents seemed cruel) I gave them no more thought until I watched a deep dive KZbin documentary on them last year. I found Kevin but mostly Ruby horrifying as parents. Now since the big story has broken I like many others have found out that most of Rubys families are vloggers too. A couple of them having similar parenting issues. In my opinion the children are being used heavily to make money for the parents lifestyles. Their seemingly perfect veneers at the cost of their children’s mental health really troubles me, as the children have no choice. If her sisters are going after her I feel to stand in truth they all need to stop! KZbin are also heavily to blame as they make huge amounts of money from these types of channels. I foresee a massive lawsuit in the future (class action) from the children of these channels and they will win. Hopefully enough to buy the therapy they’ll need going into the real world. I was a mandated reporter in my profession. My responsibility was to contact authorities if I had suspicions of CA or neglect. They had to take the ball from there. This is all Ruby's siblings could do legally. Did you expect them to kidnap the children and risk being arrested for doing so? The neighbor intervened because the child escaped and came to him. Ruby's siblings didn't live near her, otherwise the child may have run to one of them instead.

It appears that Ruby's husband, Kevin, was missing in action. I will say that I question the judgement of any parents who exploit their children on family vlogging channels. @@jh1123 All of the women in that family are so dramatic about everything! They are all about competition and who has the biggest number of subscribers, or the biggest house or the newest car! Her parents were so concerned they went to Serbia for 2 years! They are such loving people but they cannot get to the bottom of their daughter's problem? Maybe they will be sent home by the church! Why did Bonnie say her mother had a heart attack? She had to be in good health to go to Serbia! She apparently doesn't have a heart problem!

I see this video as a CYA. If Bonnie was cut off and had no involvement then why is she making a video to say don't look over here but look at Kevin, that is who you should look at. If Bonnie was cut off and doesn't have all the information and is pointing fingers then why is she assuming Kevin should have information when he was cut off as well. This is just a Bizarre and weird video to release about her innocence in all of this. No one asked her to prove her innocence. It seems a little narcissistic due to her talking about her house and how people need to stop taking away from her (Jodi and her sister). I just don't understand why she released a video on her innocence unless she did have involvement and is trying to look innocent. She was letting us know that she didn't know where Kevin was? Ok let's just tell on ourself. Sounds like she knew where Kevin was but is reflecting a little bit.

Seems like her sisters are worried about losing their followers. This should be about the kids period! They could have come forward just as they are saying Kevin should have.
