He didn't think she would ever actually leave. Now he's having to face the fallout of his actions for the last 13 years and he doesn't like it. I think we can crown Christine the break up queen. I think he is thinking about Christine more in the last couple of years than he did in all the years they were married combined, I think we all know Robyn has to be hating that LOL

I love your take on Kody. I do have a psychology degree and you are spot on. He tends to do this not just with himself and Christine but also Robyn and Christine. To be fair, so does Robyn with Christine. Remember the whole, "rewriting of history". Robyn said this even though we all know that is what she does best. She cut out Preston and then had the audacity to take a picture of Christine, Kody and their children and add herself and her kids smh. If that wasn't the creepiest thing I have ever seen. I keep thinking about how Christine said about having to have the house a certain way, cook a certain way etc. To me that's what I consider coercive control. This is such a good point. I thought he was just overall controlling. But his house at Robyn's is a mess! It's so cluttered and messy. So the standard of how things all have to have a place does not apply to her!

@@SeniorPerspective I agree the house is cluttered with all their belongings. However, I'm pretty sure all the talk of it being such a mess was because the cameras were not allowed in for so long. A few blurry photographs of the outside looking through the windows were enough for people to put 2 and 2 together and come up with the whole "Robyn is a hoarder" narrative. Maybe I have missed some solid evidence. I am embarrassed that I am taking so much interest sometimes but Kody just rubs me up the wrong way. I saw a clip of them recently when they were on holidays in Hawaii, I think. Kody was huffing because they had arranged an activity without his permission. I don't know about you but I've never had to ask for permission from my husband of 20 years! All the talk of the patriarchy makes me sick. If he is happy to talk like that in front a camera, I dread to think what goes on behind closed doors. His anger also scares me. He is so, so bitter and as much as I dislike him very, very much, I would worry about his mental health. Likewise, Robyn irritates me greatly but I worry about her mental health even more. Crying so much is just a cry for help, in my humble, unqualified opinion. They do get paid for everyone to have an opinion of them but is it worth it? Also, Christine said Kody had all his belongings still from all the other houses. He wanted to build a barndominium for all his "stuff". Could he be the hoarder? Poverty is his biggest fear. I suspect his stuff is very important to him!!

I think the reason why Christine is the only one who says everything without hesitation is that at the time of this, it's been over two years since she divorced Kody. It's been a while since Meri and Janelle divorced Kody, so they're probably still working things out, much like Christine was in the tell all at the end of season 17. So I'm really looking forward to seeing how things develop now in the sequel because in the next season they will all be gone from Kody and I hope that all of their storylines will revolve around something other than the divorced. But it's probably too much to expect the producers to let them talk about anything other than Kody, but they're criticized for only talking about him when we know very well that it's because the producers don't have a broader imagination than to make them talk about their ex. They all live exciting lives that would be interesting to watch. Meri, Janelle, and Christine are the ones who keep the show going and their kids, so I want season 19 to show them all happy in their lives without Kody involved, because he really isn't a big part of their lives anymore. So it would be possible to show us about the lives of Kody and Robyn, not some staged piercings in the ears of a 20-year-old daughter nonsense, but something they actually do and not whine or rant about the wives who are no longer wives. If we got something like that from Kody and Robyn, it might be possible to watch these episodes without getting annoyed, but that's probably asking too much.

I think the thing with Cody as well, as with other families, who have children, and sometimes multiple wives as in polygamy, where loving or caring for that person does not even come to the equation. They are looking for accumulation. They are accumulating children, and depending on the circumstances wives. This is so they get up higher in heaven. He really has no ability to see women or children as individuals, I truly think he does not understand what love is.

Cody talks just like my dad. I hope Cody gets into counseling. My dad never did and has had little pushback and now lives in only his own reality. He totally talks like this. It's hard to follow if you didn't grow up like that and following a conversation the way kody constructs his. I think this is partly adhd it might be a touch of ads but it's definitely a personality issue unique to a few people. I've been shocked how hard it is for other people to follow him. I don't just laugh because I think something is funny. If I'm having a strong emotion I don't know how to deal with I laugh. This has put me in awkward positions because I laugh when it's inappropriate sometimes. I have a nephew (he's grown now) that is just like me. Whenever I had to discipline him it was terrible. Been thinking about this whole reality tv experience the many people have watched over the years. It seems, to me, we can watch a stranger on tv, call their words or behavior rude, narcissistic, deplorable, etc. in our own lives, the viewers seeing this unconscionable behavior in our own lives and tolerating it more or realizing that some ducked up behavior and wont tolerate it or I will not be that person anymore.
