Ruby is also likely one of her oldest victims and must now be reviewing her whole life and wondering just where anne had been screwing things up for her, lying to her and lying about her. It might be highly therapeutic for her to basically go nuclear and expose as much as she can find. Sucks for Anne, but Ruby is one of her victims
@WolvenDragonZ Жыл бұрын
Can you imagine someone who clearly cares for down on their luck people like that realizing that any interaction that even tangentially involved Anne was skewed and she probably ended up being a bully or and aid to such ever since they were children? That teacher she was rude to because she was mean to her friend, that girl she called out for stealing her boyfriend, the boy who she told someone else not to get involved with because he had cheated on her friend, the new friend she recommended to her friend's office that got distant before being fired for incompetence and the apology she gave for recommending them in the first place. The absolute guilt of any action she ever took related to her. So yikes

I think she is bipolar, which can cause psychosis. She is definitely having delusions if she is starting to think these "perfect hobbies and traits" are actually her real self. Bipolar has two behavioral symptoms. Manic and depressive. Mania can last any where from a few hours to a couple years. But it doesn't always include psychosis. Usually sleep deprivation is an indicator of the onset of psychosis for bipolar disorder. I've seen someone go manic and ride that high through a whole random college degree. 🤷♀️ This girls brain has got to be going a mile a minute and the energy and effort she is bursting through her half cocked plans and manipulations of everyone around her, is through the roof! 😮 it's almost at an inhuman level, for it to not be mania. It's gotta be...
@alyonaf10543 ай бұрын
@@TiaEphesians429 she definitely has some personality disoder at the very least. But I doubt if it's bipolar she has. It wasn't just "phases", she did it consistently for years and years. And her victims never knew what hit them. That's how calculated and coldheaded she's been. I doubt a manic person would be able to never slip and never get exposed for years like that. And she would have succeded this time, too. If not for her groom being a no-bs person. And good for him. His war with addictuon definitely played a part in it, as far as I know, they are taught to be as truthfull as possible to everyone, understandably, because addicts tend to develop deceiving strategies for their own gain, so they are encouraged to drop every unhealthy tactic and strategy they've learnt during their addiction and not leave any grey zones where they would be tempted to stray because nobody would know. So no wonder he smelled bs at once and refused to ignore red flags it raised. But he also is definitely a very sensible man on his own. Honestly, most men who fall victims to women like that is like her Dad. And women, too, of course. But there is definitely a bias towards opposite sex in these cases, I dunno why. Like, her mum, for one, was suspicious at once. And her sister was hesitant which side to take. But her Dad was in his daughter's corner no matter what. Untill he was forced to accept his child's lies backed up by multiple people and confirmed by her herself. Btw, I think if she 'd chosen to continue lying, the Dad would have chosen her side despite all the evidence.

Before I thought she was just a bridezilla and a jealous friend towards ruby, but making up rumors, rallying people to her side to seem like the good girl, removing people from social groups, etc, I feel like 1% bad for Anne but on the other hand, trying to create this world of hers for her image and narcissist ways is just too much. She literally took this too far than it has to go. Ok she lied about the family accepting Dave, lied to the bridesmaids about ruby character, got ppl fired or quit their jobs, and removed people who was probably in the group longer than she was. She doesn't need just therapy, she needs to be constantly watched and monitored. She destroyed so many trusts in people; her husband, her family, her friends, and guests. It's so bizarre because... what exactly are Anne's qualifiers for "right" anyway? What kind of person was she trying to craft herself into and why? I dunno much about different mental disorders (besides the ones I have to deal with), but I thought NPD was when people JUST manipulated others to fit their worldview, not necessarily that they try to change THEMSELVES (besides doing what they feel they have to in order to get in other peoples graces... I may be wrong here, but that alone doesn't feel quite right to explain Anne's behaviour)? I mean, yeah Anne... is certainly doing that? But it doesn't feel like the "root cause" to me, if that makes sense? it feels more like some kind of insanely powerful obsessive compulsion, impacted by a lack of empathy and learned behaviors that she's been crafting all her life. Maybe it's my autism but I hate "you should side with me because blind loyalty!" type things. If you think someone should side with you during a conflict, back it up. Give them valid reasons why you're right or should be sided with. I get it if it's not comfortable to talk about but no communication means it's your fault if someone is neutral/opposed to you. People can't always make decisions without any knowledge on the situation and it's unreasonable to expect them to.

I used to work with someone like Anne. Had little going on in her life so got her jollies by pretending to be friends then turning people against each other, telling person A that person B said something nasty about person A,. Sowed discord where ever she went and eventually every one hated her.

Anne just came off as an honest-to-goodness sociopath, the way she wanted to cultivate the IMAGE of her perfect life that she had in her head, rather than trying to actually build a good life. No empathy for her victims, no regret for ruining people's lives and livelihoods, just anger over getting caught and having her house of cards she'd so carefully created and protected knocked over by her own fumble. Heck, she didn't even want to go to therapy because she just KNOWS she isn't in the wrong, and even though she agreed to it, I know Anne won't stay once the therapist will point out even one of her flaws or mistakes. She's just... bad product, in a way. A bad egg. Turned out that way from birth, hid it from everyone else, and will never get better. I don't feel bad for her, though; Anne did this all to herself.

If you go to OP's account and read all of her comments OP said that her sister said that did all of this because she was trying to make things "right". Like how things SHOULD be in her perfect world. It almost seems like some unusual type of OCD versus sociopathy or psychopathy. It's possible it's narcissism but the strange obsession with everything having to be "right" to the point where she harassed teachers out of their jobs and got other students to harass them because they didn't fit into her view of what SHOULD be really scream some type of unusual OCD to me.

In the end, he was proven innocent, but he was so traumatized that he never went back to teaching and now works a skilled trade job. He is one of the nicest people you've ever met, and his life was nearly ruined by conniving liars. I firmly believe people should face consequences for false allegations and Anne is definitely one of them

Reading about how Anne thinks honestly makes me feel bad for her. The way it's described makes it sound like she never did anything with malicious intent, but rather that they were all "practical" choices and if someone gets hurt, well, that's life. It's all part of an obsession that controls her *entire existence.* I think she does love Dave, that's why she chose him, but she had to make him "fit." And that meant sacrificing Ruby. Like, I wonder if that hurt her to do? If she felt sad upon the realization that the only way to make the lies work was to get rid of her best friend? There's no indication that she's incapable of feeling those things and she was notably distraught about losing Dave, even when her distress at being a divorcee was equally as bad, and her actions suggest she's making an effort to patch things up with her family and Ruby--although that could all just be a scramble to piece back together as much of that "perfect image" as possible. But it *really* seems like some type of obsessive compulsive disorder that's gone totally unchecked and overrides literally all other wants or needs. I don't know how treatable that sort of thing is, but I really hope the therapy helps, even if only a little. It sounds like a hellish existence.
@jamestown8398 Жыл бұрын
Anne is a horrible person. She lied to everyone about everything, even making a gambit to break up decades-long friendships, all in a bid to preserve her own pride and vanity. Image-obsession easily warps people into monsters. I'm glad David is leaving Anne, and I hope he finds another woman who will actually be honest with him about who she is. I hope Ruby ends up leaving Anne too, because the person she *thought* was her friend doesn't exist.

Dave and Ruby have my sympathy. Addicts don't always have success stories but the ones who recover deserve respect. Also OP is stupidly naive. "We were right but that doesn't mean we didn't behave badly"? That's STILL not good! Dave needs to get more than a divorce. He needs a goddamn annulment. No one should be tethered to a person like Anne even in past tense. And the relevant comments can be broken down to this; Anne is a pathological liar and narcissist. That's it. But at least she was busted for what she did before Dave got stuck with her and had a kid. I have a strong feeling that if he didn't fit her ideal world at some point she would make up lies that he abused their future kid and have him charged. Thankfully it didn't come to that. OP and their family should stay the hell away from Ruby and Dave. They don't deserve to have such unstable nutters tainting their lives. As Charlie Brown once said, good grief.

Ugh, if I were Ruby I'd nope the fuck out of that so called 'friendship'. There's just absolutely no reason to stay friends with a person like that. Moreover, a person like that doesn't _deserve_ friends. Anne has some _serious_ issues that I doubt she'll be willing to confront in therapy (if they can even get her to _go)._ Who wants to be friends with someone who manipulates everyone, sabotages/destroys other people's lives without a second thought or an ounce of guilt (because for some reason they don't fit into her _neurotic_ idea of 'perfection'), & lies as easily as she breathes? You could never trust her again, always looking over your shoulder wondering if she'd ruin your life, if she's spreading rumors to turn people against you, or trying to break up your relationships, you'd always be walking on eggshells & worrying about what she might be doing to hurt someone else that you just aren't aware of. She's just... a nightmare.

She manipulated him to the point of thinking his past was out in the open and the family actually accepted it all. After learning of the wedding deception and when her sister had stated she didn’t think Anne had ever been manipulative before, was when I thought, I wouldn’t be too sure. The plan was way too elaborate for a newbie. This level(s) of manipulation take time, a bit of honing those skills if you will, especially to have fooled her husband, her family and inner circle for as long as she had. We watch movies with manipulators like Anne, and for the most part, watch them fall in the end. Sadly, I think Anne had thought of herself infallible. She is highly intelligent, I will give her that, but she also had arrogance, no empathy, and damn close to psychotic. JMO. I will also give her that she never did this to her family members, so maybe there is redemption, or she simply knew the rule to never crap in your own yard. She had used them and lied to them, but they were never the ones outright abused by her, if that makes sense. Sure, she never stepped in to correct her Dad when he had initially stood by her, but it had been too late to do anything else. She didn’t have any scruples throwing her best friend under the bus though. The one her family had considered Ruby to be one of their own. This had been her downfall because she did essentially crap in her own backyard. Ruby was family and she had been one of her targets. Now that I’ve been thinking more on it, who knows if she would’ve targeted her parents or sister if they had ever been deemed an enemy in her eyes. We won’t know. But damn, I feel for her husband, Ruby, her parents and sister along with everyone who had their lives destroyed in her wake. I don’t have a lot of empathy for her, because she has none of her own, and it wouldn’t do any good anyways. However, I do hope that therapy will actually be able to work for her. If she wants it, she can do the hard work, it’s all up to her really.

Never underestimate how far people will go to cover up lies. My ex told her side guy that everything was fine - which it could have been if she hadn't continued to treat me like sh*t while she went about it. When we broke up, she told him he had nothing to do with our breakup. I contacted him to say that was bullsh*t and if he hadn't been determined to believe what he wanted to, he would have known that. After I told her I'd told him that, she broke it off with him, too. That's either a bizarre coincidence or a side relationship that was more important than a 16-year main one (a big no-no if you're allowing other people into your relationship) but less important than having to admit to lying. Narcissistic tendencies or full blown narcissism is my first guess. She was so obsessed with looking perfect, being perfect, what others perceive her as. She’s manipulative, and she is terrifying. With this level of lying and manipulation that I hear while typing this (as the video continues playing), I’m fearing Machiavellianism. The tears could be just a ploy to make her family feel bad for her.
