THANK YOU Sir or Ma'am for posting this. It reminds me of when the park was at its best (during my lifetime that is) Back when it had a soul and was fun. I haven't been since the year Goliath opened and even then I was shocked at what all had been changed and done in the few years I didn't go. I remember the gas station in the corner of the parking lot, the back gate, Southern Star Amphitheater, Mini Mine Train. It would be awesome to go to THIS Six Flags again.

I remember Mind Bender before it was painted to its present day green color, and it's still there. As well as remember Looping Starship, Free Fall, The Great Gasp, and The Great Six Flags Air Racer rides, which are no longer at Six Flags Over Georgia. Never got the opportunity to ride Z-Force when it was there. Wheelie is no longer there. Splash Waterfalls has since closed. Riverview Carousel is still there, along with Monster Mansion. Dahlonega Mine Train and Great American Scream Machine are still there too. Joker Chaos Coaster is kind of a de facto successor to Looping Starship, much like Catwoman Whip is a de facto successor to Wheelie. Brings back memories of Six Flags Over Georgia's good old days.

Peaches Grace I sure did! I worked there in 2005 and 2006. My first ride was the Scream Machine, and the next season I started at Thunder River and then I was moved to Splash Waterfalls before I resigned. To this day, Six Flags still holds the title as my favorite job. I had fun working out there and I made friends with people who I still talk to today! Wow... I was 3 (almost 4) years old when this video was recorded, and I was living in Germany with my my mother while she was in the Army. Crazy enough, 16 years later (2005) I was hired as a ride op at the park. My first ride was the Great American Scream Machine. That coaster will forever hold a special place in my heart because I was promoted to Assistant Foreman at the ride. The next season, I started as the Assistant Foreman at Thunder River which felt like an honor to me considering the fact that it has the largest ride footprint in the park, and later I was moved to Splash Waterfalls. I was also on the clock during Goliaths opening day. Out of all the jobs that I've had, SFOG will always be my favorite. It was the only job I had where I looked forward to going to work everyday. Its amazing how much the park has changed since this video was recorded. Thanks for uploading! This definitely brought a smile to my face.

Bruh that’s where they put the Batman Roller Coaster. I rode that boat/ pirate ship when I was a kid. It sat over a small river or pond. It sat between the Mindbender and now present Batman the Ride. I rode Batman in 1997 when it premiered. I rode that Looping Starship. They took that out and put Goliath there. I went to go ride the Starship one year and it was sitting on bricks. They were taking it out to prepare for Goliath. I rode the Wheelie with one of my cousins who was heavy. Hahaha he sat in front of me and his weight was crushing me when we were going upside down😂. I rode those planes too and the Great Gasp. I think my mom, sister, and me got stuck in Great Gasp once. Sorry I told you more than you wanted to know.

This was the end of the “theme park” and the beginning of the downfall of a once awesome place. The actual 6 flags no longer fly over the park, one section is indistinguishable from the next, the employees move in slow motion, the park is filthy, most the guests act like they’re low class folks who had poor upbringings, etc. Truly a shame what corporate buyouts did to this once great place.
