How to clean and lubricate xtool S1

In this video I explain the purpose of the grease that was given with the xtool s1 known as the Peng Sheng grease or lubricant. I also walk you through the cleaning process of the xtool s1. Previously I focused on the laser cleaning, in this video I focus on the xtools interior cleaning as well as the greasing or lubricating of the rails inside the xtool s1. This is a tutorial for all these people that are also having a difficult time finding cleaning videos, they do exist but it seems to be an entire process to get to it.

I’ve only just got my s1 and was wondering what the tube of white stuff was, I had assumed it was wood glue haha, thanks for the helpful video I will follow your method as soon as I need to clean my machine. As soon as you called it ‘Penge Sheng sauce’ I got a craving for noodles haha

i understand the 40w laser module should be cleaned after every 30 minutes of use, or probably an 1-2 hours with air assist on high, and i would definitely take the noticeable chunks and tray debris out often.... how often should the S1 be cleaned and lubricated like this?

The chunks and debris get removed pretty much everytime, however, I do not wipe the sticky residue from the wood on the tray too often. The honey comb makes this less of a concern. As far as how often it should be cleaned and lubricated, I don't have the official answer. I've been doing it roughly every month or two depnding on how often I use it. Basically if the laser head is super dirty or there is a lot of build up on the walls I take that as an indicator to lube the bars

Basic multi surface cleaner has cleaned the resin on tray quick and easy

the LA's totally awesome cleaner works wonders on that sticky stuff thats always on the tray its a great degreaser

I havent reallt done a full clean on that because everytime I clean this I go straight back into cutting wood which is gonna make it sticky again. I appreciate the tip though incase I do ever try to clean it fully

I was wondering if WD-40 would be any good or better 🤔

I wouldnt recommend it because the peng sheng is more of a grease for the movement over it. However if the wheels and pulleys started locking up WD-40 would make sense to me.

@@mojo2613 I'm not gonna lie, I'm not sure. However, I dont see why any grease from a car parts store would not work. The purpose is lubrication, I imagine a grease with similar properties would be fine.

@@everygooddaydesigns Yeah, I did some research on it.. I think you're right. Or I see some other silicone based grease on Amazon sold in small tubes.
