SkeeRide Polar Body Panels

The SkeeRide is a 3D printed remote controlled snowmobile. After great success with the SkeeRide last winter there has been many requests for a body style similar to a Polaris. This is the answer to those requests. These new body panels were designed to work with the currently available SkeeRide chassis. If you already own the files for the SkeeRide but want to have a new look, these files are for you.

if i ever print this is it best to 3d print the tracks in tpu, ninjaflex or just pla or abs

There seems to be mixed feelings on what is better. Some say tpu is best and others prefer pla. I think it works well either way. If you have a hard time printing tpu then I’d suggest starting with pla. It’s not too hard to change later if you want.

Why is the polar 10 dollars cheaper than the other one? Is there something missing?

The polar is only the body panels. You need the original SkeeRide with its chassis to build the polar. The polar is just a cosmetic update for the SkeeRide.

I can't seem to figure out what lipo battery you are using in this sled. I'm currently printing and build a sled and I need some info on what battery you are using. Thx

What do you recommend for the best possible model. Kv? ESC amps? 2s or 3s? Best gearing? If I'm using a 3500kv motor which gearing would you recommend for good power and speed but also good temps. Thanks

There’s a list of recommended parts on the discord channel. You’ll want to be close to or under 3000kv. A sensored motor will give you much better low end torque. 3S works well. Stainless steel bearings. For gearing I would pick a motor and then ask on the discord channel for anyone using the same setup and they can give you good feedback. There’s over 500 people on the discord channel so you can get a lot of help there. I’m happy to give what I know, but the combined discord group will get you a lot more info.

Yes, it uses the same chassis, all the build videos still apply.
