What did you think of the Star Wars Skeleton Crew trailer?

After watching the trailer, I was like “I’m getting The Goonies vibes in this but it’s Star Wars!” It’s like The Goonies of space, and that just sounds interesting.

Thing is it dosent look like Star Wars at all and again shouldn’t have it as the title

Interesting “Let’s play Devil’s Advocate” approach to Star Wars-it’s pretty easy to forget that Star Wars was the first of its kind! Excited to watch this show come out: live-streamed reactions please??

It’s gonna be interesting to see “Star Wars” with the “Wars” so far removed

Yeah! I can’t tell if it’s too different or just right

I'm just going to be real with you, I haven't even watched Andor yet. Everyone says it's great, and I believe you. But I've honestly not been enjoying a lot of the Star Wars content lately; I've been so disillusioned that unless I already have some interest in the show, I probably won't bother. That might not be fair to everyone who worked hard on Andor and to all the future artists, but that's just my headspace now. I feel the same with Marvel right now. Back then, I never even read a Guardians of the Galaxy comic and I still watched the movie because I loved Marvel. And now, I haven't even seen GOTG3.

I’ve really stopped caring about Marvel. Star Wars isn’t there for me yet

@@Limebradley I doubt that. Star Wars has given us such amazing shows for these past years. Sure, there are bad moments, but let's not forget the amazing moments that have given us. Fortunately, Star Wars will be back in the big screen, hehe

Look, old man, we're essentially on the same page here. I must tell you that I haven't forgotten anything when it comes to the movies you're discussing, thus the slide from excellent to appalling writing is not lost on me. I must take exception to your frequent references to originality and mediocrity. Originality is nice but quality is the important thing as I see it. Calling the more recent big budget movies mediocre is praising with faint damnation. Star Wars and Marvel, barring the exceptions you mentioned, have been unspeakably bad at best and more recently, unwatchable. Note that this is coming from someone who will watch rubbish out of perverse curiosity but there are limits. In the case of the last few Star Wars efforts like Ahsoka and The Acolyte, I couldn't even stomach the trailers. I would eat up mediocrity but farcically bad, not so much. Are you sure you know what mediocrity is? Anyway, you're a smart fellow and you deserve much success with your channel. At least after you stop referring to garbage as mediocre! 😉

Thank you for the kind words. It’s always great to hear wisdom from those who have lived longer than I. I think that some of these projects at least had potential, which is why the distinction between terrible and mediocre was mad. But perhaps you’re right. Perhaps there is no redeeming aspects to them. As far as quality over originality, you’re spot on. I think the two go hand in hand

Skeleton Crew can't be good idea for Star Wars. Its completely change of genre. Star Wars is cosmo-opera and this is kids adventure. This equals to Robot Chicken level of idea subversion of Star Wars. Just a continuation of predatory milking of franchise until nothing will be left from fanbase. It seems like there is no future for Star Wars.
