Skid Row (later known as Nirvana) live at 17 Nussbaum Road in Raymond, Washington on a Saturday at an unknown date in in 1987. This was a house party. Tony Poukkula, who lived in the house, played on the Led Zeppelin songs and possibly more.
NOTES: Skid Row may not have been the band's name at the time, but it was the earliest name they were booked as, so that's why I used it.
The Heartbreaker jam is under heavy KZbin watch, so I can't post it without screwing up the audio, which I'd rather not.
This MIGHT not be the band's first show, but it is the band's earliest known recorded show, not counting prior radio appearances. See the LiveNirvana concert chronology for evidence supporting this.

The amazing thing about this is that it sounds like Nirvana. In 1987, when Alice In Chains was a glam band, and Soundgarden was a single-celled organism. Took the world a few years to catch on, but all the important pieces were there from the start.

There isn’t a whole lot of video of him actually playing, but on the fee things I’ve found, he actually isn’t bad at all, keeps solid, time and almost never loses the beat. I think the only reason he was kicked out was because they kept talking about how crappy his drum kit was and looked, along with him constantly missing practice due to alcohol addiction. I mean he was considered for the Melvins for a reason, but nobody could match Dale. Though I’d go as far as to say he was better than Chad

Interesting enough this isn't kurt and krist's first show together. They played in sellout before and kurt played with the melvins in a band called brown towel.

Apparently this was not Nirvanas first show. The audio and pictures are from summer 1987. You can tell because Kurt and Chris hair is longer than earlier gigs(the april 87 gig has pics check em out), the songs are more formed here(Hairspray Queen ending closer to 1988 studio version then the kaos version) Kurt and Krists guitars are also closer to what they played that Summer(livenirvana has a compilation of pictures that show Kurts guitar stickers and how they progressed over the year-check it out under concerts). Its a little confusing, so much so that even the band themselves got the two house partys confused but the first gig was either the party that they supposedly played Sex Bomb at or the party never happened and their first gig was really community world theater april 87 and the band just thought this gig happened first when in reality it didn't. Another thing to take note of is that during the Dec.93 interview Kurt claimed that during their first show they spiked their hair up like classic punk rockers which obviously wasnt the show shown in these pictures if hes remembering correctly.

Therefore the raymond show couldn't have possibly been their first show. If you look at Kurts hair in those pictures its closer to the length it was during their august 1987 show. Any questions?

I wonder why aero-zeppelin wasn't brought back after Grohl finally became their permanent drummer? The drumming on this one is either Crover or Bruckhard but it's pretty substandard... I still would love to here someone do a great version...it would be cool
