That Sunday Riley Luna is absolutely DIVINE! I'm with you -- I'm convinced that the money spent on serums is money better spent. I didn't get the kind of results I'm seeing now when I used to use the top of the line drugstore serums like Olay, Roc, Neutrogena, etc. I'm 57 with combination skin, more on the oily side in my t-zone in summer, but I deal with dryness in the cold winter months. SR Luna is some kind of magic, because it's actually changing the texture of my skin. All this talk about cell communication & products that make you produce better skin -- this product, LUNA is absolutely true to those claims. Also, I saved my pennies & bought the TNS eye cream based on your recommendation & I swear Tammy -- I had lines under my eyes that DISAPPEARED when I put it on!!! If you told me that would happen, I would not have believed you -- but it happened on my own face!!! I'm not wasting any more money searching for products, only to be disappointed. I'm spending my money where it counts on the best quality I can afford! Keep these videos coming my friend, we're listening! ~Susanne xoxo

Thanks for going through all of these serums that have worked well for you. I haven't tried these brands yet. So far I've used the Paula's Choice antioxidant serums and her vitamin C serum (also the moisture oil). I've also tried Timeless' vitamin C/E w/hyaluronic and Timeless' matrixyl. Their prices are really good while their customer service is nearly non-existent (and Paula's cust svc is excellent). My skin improved with these for both brands. (I also use a BHA from PC 3x a week.) I'm also trying supplements (phytoceramides, collagen, and hyaluronic) - the jury is still out on these. I've tried products with Retinol - even a small amount once or twice a week -- from Roc and from Paula's Choice, but I get non-stop dryness on areas of my face that never corrects itself. I finally stopped trying anything with Retinol. I like your idea about using the C serum only in the morning. I've been using the matrixyl in the morning but will switch that to night. I agree with you that diet is a big indicator of what goes on with skin. I'm also big on green smoothies in the morning!

One thing I remember Linda Chae said was that any of the humectants, like aloe, PCA and I would imagine the marine plants, seaweeds, is that if the relative humidity is low, like it gets in the winters where I am, those substances will draw moisture from the skin rather from the air and actually work to dehydrate the skin. So you have to pay attention to what environment you're using them in, being sure there's enough moisture in the air for those powerful humectants to draw from.

Love all the info and great advice Tammy!! I whole heartedly agree- (good) Serums are where it's at! I make most of my own serums to avoid unnecessary fragrances and preservatives. Your recommendations and reviews of highly effective products have helped guide my own formulations- so I thank you!! I've only been using serums such as CE Ferulic, Essential Oils, Hyaluronic, DMAE, etc for about a year (I'm 51), and I have seen remarkable results!! I also love your emphasis on being kind- it truly matters and makes a difference, as real beauty comes from within :)! Thanks again!

YES!!!! my favourite one and only miss Tammy :-) you are looking so beautiful, as always, and my favourite part of skincare together ha ha ! Saturday morning 6 am, this weekend will be conquering (??) my paper clutter that needs to be weeded out and reorganized (uggh) what best than to give me courage and a break than my dear CMT? so just so whatever I write can maybe be useful to anyone else reading with possibly similar skin, I am 44 with much younger skin, that is combination, a little on the oilier side (not very much, more in the summer) in my T zone, dehydrated on the cheeks and in general in spite of how much I drink and slather on stuff. Very fair skin, very sensitive tendency to break out and to have broken caplllaries, just starting to have some fine lines especially around eyes and forehead (because I move my face a lot ha ha ha) super dark hereditary circles.... I LOVE serums!!! have just started buying skinceutical brand, because I found a pharmacy here that makes great deals, have not tried it yet, will buy the ones I am missing soon and then start using them in conjunction. Loving my vit C very much, I have used TIMELESS one and really loved it, also the Matrixyl hudrating serum Also for vit C I am loving and have repurchased a french pharmacy brand, serum + cream AURIGA FLAVO-C antiaging radianche enhancing serum, because I read about it somewhere, i will soon upgrade to same serum stronger grade of vit C, but I have to order it froom northern Europe, together with the COUP D'ECLAT .....those ampules are HEAVEN I love love love them even one and only one I wake up with my skin feeling plump and happy and oomphy and relaxed want to try the whole 28 day cure but it is pricey and need to stock up on it
@bluejay55319 жыл бұрын
+Blue Jay another serum I have just lately finished up and repurchased is from VIchy, and here it is very affordable (and I find it at less through sales etc) it is the AQUALIA THERMAL (the eye serum too feels nice but eyes is another story) this is SO NICE it is very light weight, fresh has a light scent I am very sensitive to scents and cannot use some products with very intense fruity scents, this one is lovely. I sandwich this serum with others and spritz water too in between to add the moisture soaking in in this serum, hypoallergenic, hydration 48 hours no parabens all skin types, 10% thermal water and dynamic sugars (reading the labels) this could be super great even for oily skins cause it's light I am always going to have it and I imagine it will be perfect for summer sweaty months. ok last up I purchased but have not tried yet, the Olay regenerist 3 point firming serum which heard great about by Angie at HOt & Flashy and also ESTEE LAUDER ADVANCED NIGHT REPAIR which is supposedly a super serum that has been around forever...I tried a sample and really loved it....baci baci to you and Bindi :-)

***** I will say Elle...I never saw much of a difference when using it...But...it does get written up a lot...I think of drugstore it is one of the better ones...the ingredients are probably there...but we don't really know how much they actually use in the product..They say it takes 3-6 months to see results from any lotions...it may not be the one for your skin...I think finding one that works for your skin is key...no matter the price...diagnosed with CHRONIC HIVES...they may never go away or they will simple fade away as fast as they came...BRUTAL ELLE...JUST brutal...gotta go, I have to SCRATCH...LOL

***** Hi Elle! I "bit the bullet" & bought the Sunday Riley Luna at the last Sephora sale because I wasn't seeing any results from my moderately priced skincare. I tried a lot of different highly talked-up brands but never saw any difference in my skin. I can slather any moisturizer on my skin & it will feel soft, but I want to see my texture issue improve, my fine lines disappear, my deeper lines soften, redness diminish, refined pores, clearer complexion... you know... miracles! Well, I'm getting those miracles & MORE now. One night sleeping in the Luna convinced me that I've been wasting my money. Of course I'm older than you at 57 & need more "help", but I think these higher end skincare products really change the skin on the cellular level & do more than the best of my drugstore brands -- which collectively aren't cheap. I'm a believer! Love you Elle, I'm going right now over to your channel & see all of your palettes! ~Susanne xoxo

Thrilled to see your pretty face, and listen to your helpful advice, Tammy!! T have found the best effect on my skin (now considered normal) over the last year faithfully using my Vit C serum, Pycnogenol Serum, Astaxanthin Serum, and organic rose hip oil in combination with organic avocado oil. I must look for the La Roche Posay Hydraphase intense serum, and Avene Hydrance Hydrating Serum as our drug store chain Shoppers drug Mart carries those lines along with Bioderma here in Canada. Glad to hear your hives are not as bothersome for you as they were. I got some irritation on my neck from my trentinoin, and I used Madre Magic cream on it (very similar to Eqyptian magic, but it contains organic Manuka honey), and it really helped with the redness ,and soreness quickly. I wonder if it would help you with your hives. Thanks for all of the information, and have an awesome week, Beautiful, Sherrey in Southern Ontario.

I loved this ! Really tempted by that Sunday Riley Oil... Maybe it's a possible Christmas present! I've been investigating Asian skincare - specifically South Korean & Japanese. They are SERIOUS about skincare! My favs Hada Labo for toners and sunscreen and Benton for serums & moisturiser. But one I would 100% reccomend is Mizon Peptide 500 ampoule - which is the one of the words they use for serum- they are separate steps, ampoule and essence, they would correspond to our serum steps. That peptide ampoule makes my face so firm and I swear it's even started to soften my marionette lines... And best of all, the lines I've been buying are so cheap when you see the kinds of ingredients they use.

Unfortunately most of the costly serums did not work for me, until I switched to a french brand named SOTHYS (also costly, but not ruining me). It is a professional line, which apparently was the first ever to launch concentrated liquid products which are now called serum. They have several serums which do wonders for my skin (I am 56). By the way marine collagen comes from fish eggs, bones from fish and sea mammals and other waste from the fishing industries as well as flesh of seashells. Most companies are silent about the origin of their marine extracts, knowing full well, most customers and professionals are sorely uninformed and would not bother anyway. Those companies however, who do use marine botanicals will mention this clearly on their packaging because it is always good PR (often used to cover up flaws within a formula).

Hi Tammy , I have been using Timeless C, I am telling you its the best, I tried SC C, Paulas C C , and the timeless was by far the best and the cheapest. I also started Paulas Choice products last year ,Skin Recovery mixed with the Resist Line , I have to tell you , In the beginning my skin was not to happy , But once I found the right balance My skin looks at least 10 years younger in 8 Months , I have quite it and went to other samples and boy is there a bad change. For the money Paulas set will last a YEAR! I have had mine since Aug of last year.You cant beat the line and value. I did not like her C , I Love timeless, I tried a few of the above very pricy and the PC products were just as good if not better.. thanks for the update

Cynthia Lopresti I agree with you 100%. I love the Timeless vit. C and I've been using PC products for over 1 year and I have the BEST skin in my life. PC is an excellent value/price. I don't mind paying money for a product that works... but I don't want to overpay for a product when there's others (like Paula's Choice) that work just as good if not BETTER than the pricey ones.

Raven4Beauty I am right their with you .. PC products are fantastic , you just have to find the right mix, once you do its a thing of beauty, and timeless is the best C I have found yet!!

Another Timeless Vit C C+E user here! I've tried them all and found the Timeless Vit C C+E to be amazing on my 52 year old menopausal skin! I bought the 4 ounce for about $65.00. Stays fresh forever and my skin literally glows. I also use Paula's Choice products for super dry skin. For Retinol I use Peter Thomas Roth's Retinol Fusion PM that I get from Amazon.com for only $29.99. It's the same one as the $65.00 one he sells at Sephora and QVC just comes from Europe. Ironically there are days when my skin wants or needs less and I only use my favorite Clinique products. I use all their Moisture Surge products including the new Moisture Surge Intense for very dry skin. Plus their cleanser for very dry skin, their Mild Clarifying Lotion .5% salicylic acid and their DDML for Dry skin and DDMCream as well. I love to mix and match according to my skin's needs. My skin only tolerates Clinique's Sunscreens SPF 25 for normal skin days and SPF 40 for drier skin days. A lot but fun!!

Another very informative video. I have dry sensitive skin and really like the Paula's choice serums. I use the Restist antioxidant serum with vitamin C at day and the Recovery antioxidant serum with retinol at night. I mix it in with my moisturizer, which contains niaciamide. For day I always pair them with a sunscreen with vitamin E. Some brands you mention are hard to get by here (the ferulic acid serum for example). Here is Europe. :-)

I'm still experimenting with serum samples, but yes, I have noticed with oily skin, I still need to moisturize. the serums I have tried so far have either done nothing or have irritated my skin. I have learned that my skin blooms with the right product. It either works or it doesn't and I don't have to use it for weeks to at least form a favorable, or not, first impression.

Tammy, these products all sound lovely but I listen to your message and buy the products I can afford. I have oily/rosacea aging skin and use drugstore products: My BHA is Neutrogena Rapid Clear Face Defense Lotion and it has worked wonders for my breakouts and redness from the rosacea! My serum is Olay Regenerist, which does not erase wrinkles, but does give my skin a smooth texture and lovely glow. I do not use serum where I am prone to breakouts. Tammy, you have taught me so much about skincare and I thank you! Although I do not use the specific products you mention, the knowledge you share in each of your videos has been skin changing for me! Thank you so much!

Was waiting for this one and, as always, you didn't disappoint! I would follow you on anywhere on skincare, Tammy, and will definitely try a few of these. I have one burning question, though. What order do you use all of these in? Do you skip around with each one, or do you use them all daily? The mind boggles! Anyway, thanks so much for sharing your skin wisdom once again with all of us. Hugs.
@kimberlyjones72119 жыл бұрын
Yes, I want to know how you use them all in a day as well.
@TammysAgelessBeauty9 жыл бұрын
Shelley9090 I skip around a lot...I like to use and try so many things...I usually layer products that have the KEY ingredients in them...always thinnest to thickest...CE Ferulic first, a ceramide might come next...it just depends on the serums thickness! I love my serums...

I heard that carrot seed oil offers some sun protection, but not sufficient as a substitute to sunscreen - in case you looking to enhance your daytime product. Am using black seed oil and vit e at night and soon adding rosehip and for night will pick up on your tips to add sandalwood & geranium. sharing info.

I have combination-normal skin in the summer and combo-dry skin in winter. I have used Skinceuticals vitamin C serum for the past couple years, and it is nice, but I wanted to try my vit c serum in a different consistency to compare. So I just purchased the Skinmedica vit c serum to try. I have also used both Skinceuticals Advanced Pigment Corrector for discoloration and that green serum u showed , for awhile now, but I have not seen any difference in my discolorations, so I will not be repurchasing either. I have read a lot of good reviews on Skinmedica Lyrica, so I may try that one next. I am trying the Olay Regenerist Microsculpting Serum now as well. It has a nice feel and some nice ingredients, but so far I haven't noticed it has done anything miraculous for my skin, but I will finish up the bottle I have.

Are you still using your essential oils and your L Asorbic Acid recipe that you make yourself? Are you using it along with all the serums you covered in this video? This seems like a whole lot of treatment.

I love how informative your videos are, it shows that you really do care about how important the ingredients are in your skincare. I have very fair very oily skin, with lots of congestion, and I focus on preventive anti-aging as well. I use Sunday Riley Luna Facial Oil at night, it helps so well with hormonal acne as well as tremendously helping with my congestion in my pores. I also use Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, this helps balance my skin, and I use Sunday Riley Artemis Facial Oil in the day time and apply a moisturizer on top. I find that oils work best for my very oily skin because it helps balance my sebum production, so my face feels more plump and hydrated. I also focus on making sure I have lots of moisture because it lessens my acne as well as helping with my overproduction of sebum. I am waiting to try Sunday Riley Good Genes, I keep reading good reviews on it. Tammy, have you tried the Sisley Paris Black Rose Face Oil? I have read some good reviews about it as well, but I was interested if you have tested it, I know it is quite expensive but my question is if its worth the price.

Hi, dear Tammy. This is the second time I watch this video, though the first time I couldn't comment as I would have, so I have to do it at this late (or early, it depends) hour of 5 minutes to 4 am. Love this video. I'm also a die hard fan of serums and have tried so many and continuously used some of them. My favorites, so far, and the ones I can afford are the Paula's Choice Antioxidant serum for very dry skin, the Estée Lauder's advanced Night Repair and another one that I finished the samples I had, but is a new one from the Re-Nutriv line. There's another one that I used some time ago and I loved that's from Dr. Denise and I can't remember the name of the product, but it's very good. And some more that I've used occasionally, but can't remember the names (maybe after I sleep a few hours my memory will clear). Thank you so much for all this information that one can always apply to the best products that each can afford. As always, you look strikingly beautiful, and a joy to watch and learn from. Love and blessings, 😍😍

The Dr. Denese serum is called HydroShield Ultra Moisturizing Face Serum and it's amazing. They sell it on QVC in various sizes and prices and the 4 oz is usually $199.00 but sometimes they offer it on easy pay. I have it on auto-delivery on easy pay. It's the only way I can afford it. It's got Ceramide 2/Retinol/Vitamin E/Soya (soybean) Seed Extract/Linoleic Acid and Linolenic Acid. FYI. It's on Paula's Choice Best Serums list. Hope this helps!

Wonderful video. Thank you for posting all the good information on these products. I am a daily user of SkinMedica TNS Serum and LOVE it. I would like to try Coup Eclat Marine Collagen and Skinceuticals C+E Ferulic…but I don't want to give up the TNS Serum….is there room for all three on a daily basis? Thanks, Tammy! xoxo

Hi Tammy! I loved hearing you talk about serums. I just finished a big sample of the resveratol and loved it. QUESTION - Do you layer that with your TNS serum or use on different nights? For the day, I have been using the skin medica CE complex thanks to you or my skinceuticals CE Ferulic. Hope all is well. XO

TheHipChickOnline Yes ...I will layer some nights...other nights I use it on its own...I really love it...Hope all is well with you...we much catch up soon, I know I've missed a few calls from you...Big hug!

How did you like SkinMedica's CE Complex? Did you find better results over the one from SkinCeuticals?
@thehipchickonline9 жыл бұрын
Tasia Evans Hi there, that is such a great question! I really do like them both and the results seem similar in my opinion. I prefer the Skinceuticals CE ferulic in the summer b/c I feel that it really goes deep in my skin and doesn't leave a greasy feeling on my skin. I prefer the Skin Medica in the winter b/c it leaves my skin with a slip (not greasy feeling) which i like better in the winter. I know it's not a great answer, but I kind of alternate depending on the season. What skin type do you have and that may help me answer for you?
