Thanks for keeping it real. You should try mixing cottage cheese to your egg mixture before baking. It makes the texture of the egg bites lighter and ups the protein.

New here! Thank you for the new recipes Shelly! These are awesome sauce! My husband and I moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan last year from Washington state. We bought a house with cash. He is retired and I work very part-time as a substitute teacher to pay the few bills. We are trying to be as self sustainable as possible! And I cook most things by scratch! Right now we have 5 hens and a rooster. Next spring we are hoping to add goats for dairy and rabbits for protein. Today our 5th and last chicken started laying. We are now getting up to 5 eggs a day so I needed some news ideas. The egg bites will be perfect to freeze and just take a couple out to heat! Stay Blessed

A suggestion regarding silicon muffin tins - the ones with metal embedded in the edges are less ‘floppy’ to use. Unfortunately that also means they cannot be used in microwaves. If you get the silicon only ‘tins’ remember to place it on a metal baking sheet before filling the mold with the food/batter. Alternatively, they also make silicon cupcake/muffin liners that can just be dropped into your existing muffin tin in place of paper liners. These liners are usually less expensive and certainly take up less space than a second set of ‘tins’.

Try using a bottle opener for those stubborn lids to open. Love your video. I need to have no salt / low sodium foods, besides look out for carbs, cholesterol, fats, and sugar amounts. Not that easy but I'm doing the best I can. Thank you again for the video.

I have multiple sizes of silicone muffins. I love them, I have three of the egg bites size that go into my instant pot. I can stack them up in the pot with the rack in between them. I got all my larger ones from Temu and the instant pot ones I bought at Walmart.

Silicone muffin pan is a game changer! Get an old fashion metal can opener, stick point under lid push down til you hear the pop. Easiest way for my weak arthritic hands and wrists. Quickest also

If you got a standard bottle opener you can use that to pop your salsa jars just take the pointed part under the little little bit and just wedge it and you'll hear it pop and then you should be able to open it with no problem without damaging the lid

A guy that I used to work with gave me a tip on opening jars: you turn it upside down and tap it on the counter a few times, then flip it back over and it opens easier. Never thought it would work, but it does! Sometimes you have to tap it a few times and I always use a gripper to open jars, but maybe this little trick will help!

an easy way to open a jar is by slipping a spoon or fork handle in the space where the jar lid is crimped. sometimes it may take a butter knife. that is what works for me.

I'll be making one of these recipes this weekend (company staying with us and he is diabetic). Re silicone: I tried the muffin cups with ridges around them... everything seemed to stick to them. I bought muffin trays (3 trays, 12 smooth-sided cups in each one and totally silicone) and love them. Depending on the recipe, I may or may not use a wee bit of oil (better safe than sorry). I love the way I can simply push out the contents rather than using a knife or spatula around the edge.

To open the jar, i would use a spoon. Find a spot under the lid, with the top side of the spoon up. Place it where it catches and push the handle towards the jar. It lets the air out for easy opening.

Use a rubber band around the lid/top. The rubber band allows you to have the ability to grip and gives friction. You can also use the rounded end of a basic can opener. Use it under the lip to release the air pressure.

My loved one is having so much trouble maintaining blood glucose levels that maybe they will finally agree to eat some cooked veggies like you used. I've made muffin cups many times and they have never agreed to eat them. Yours looked delicious and yes, I recommend silicone muffin liners. They enable me to make a small batch of muffin cups or other similar sized foods in my air fryer instead of heating the whole oven. I'll definitely be looking at more of your videos to try to find ideas to convince my loved one to eat healthier. (Trust me, I've been trying to get them to eat better for years!)

To open a new jar - Use the tip of knife to make an open space under the lid till air gets inside the jar. You will hear it pop which means air is in. Now you can twist and open the lid easily.

At 15:07… that jar… turn it upside down and give the top of it a good thump on your cutting board… that’s usually enough to break the seal between the glass jar and the lid… without running the risk of chipping the jar with the knife trick. You can also try holding the jar upside down in one hand and giving it a really good whack on the bottom of the jar with the heel of your other hand… again this should help break the seal between the jar and the lid.

I do like my silicone you need a trey to cook on because they are not stable at all and pay attention because that stuff is hot! they are hard to clean. I use Dawn they stay a bit greasy. The main benefits are non-stick

Hi! For the eggs, I would just make sure the product is 100% egg whites!!! Cheese - I do love the kite hill line (made with almond milk!)

When I open my jars I use a spoon under the lid until I hear a pop. That means the seal is broken and you can open it with ease

2 tricks to open salsa or any jar. one take heal of your hand smack it hard on bottom of jar. Goal to create air pocket. Two easy peasy I have dishwashing gloves lol take one and use that to open jar

Go carnivore-look up steak and butter gal and she refers you to many doctors. It’s a game changer. I’ve been on insulin for 40 years and have cut my daily requirement significantly. No fake food , no spray filled with chemicals-real food.

Silicon is for the freezer rather than the oven or microwave, just my choice when silicone is heated up it has the potential to let go of SILICON 😮

To open a jar that hard to open, you need to get the air out by using a thin knife or metal sandwich spatula and put underneath the lid and gently press up around the lid. Then you can open lid very easily. 😅
