We have had so many in the past years. Mocha, nutter butter, Snickers, Oreo, peach, daisy, papa piggie, and baby piggie. Now we have a trio, Churro, Wilbur, and Felix ❤ they are little monsters, but they are too cute. Wilbur constantly popcorns, and Churro is always napping/laying down (even if we're holding him, he'll just curl up and start sleeping after exploring), and Felix is still skittish.

Kaylin Taylor oh I know exactly how you feel. My moms horse is 35 and has arthritis and he also is stupid. He tends to try and escape the paddock so often the other day I have to flip him (keep in mind he’s 1500 pound horse) so he was really heavy. When I got him flipped I had to roll him onto his tummy and so he could get some friction and once he had his hooves under him and he was half up and tried to lay back down I just keep a tight hold of the lead rope to let him know he was not gonna give up and lay back down and I keep tugging until he tugged back and used me as a balance to stand up. I’m so happy I got him up because otherwise I would of had to put him to sleep. Not to mention I would have to see his dead body lying on the ground for another month until the ground unfreezes. I know he’s gonna pass this year so I’m hoping it’s during the warmer months so it’s not so tough on me and my mom especially trying to bury him. We have plans to get a rescue horse to replace him because he lives with my horse dancer and as we all know horses cannot live alone. I feel so bad for chance but there’s nothing I can do. All I can do and help him and feed him and show him love until the very end. And I hope he doesn’t die worrying about what dancer will do without him. He’s been a pleasure to have with us I’ve only known him 17 years but he’s been with my mom since day 1 when he was born so that’s a whole 35 years i completely understand how you feel about not being able to do much about your animal when they are in pain. He isn’t in pain happily but he is much slower because the pain meds he’s on cause cancer to form in his belly. Sorry I’m going on too much but I just thought I would share my story of Chance

My heart is breaking for Semour! I wasn't aware that he was slowing down or had any health concerns because of the cancer! I know one of my piggies, when I first got her and she was about 2 months old, was showing signs of a URL and she was so little and precious as she is a black satin coat, crested piggie, I was so worried and I prayed to God, Jesus Christ to please heal her, as I am a Christian and have myself had a divine healing in my body, and I know that God cares for all his creation, I was ready to take her in to the vets office the next morning and when I woke up all of her symptoms disappeared!! It may sound a little strange I know, but it is 100 percent true and she never had a bad day or illness since! She will be a year old in a few days! So I am keeping Seymour in my prayers as I feel so bad for you and your husband. I know your animals mean so much to you guys, as do mine, and in that situation I can understand it can be heart breaking! I love you guys and all the piggies and Bunbun! i

There's these two pet shops I buy from for my dogs, rabbit and cat. They don't sell animals, but sell supplies. I don't really know if they have them outside of Quebec, but they're called Mondoux, and Global (Pitou Minou). I can get most my products from there, but I need to go to Nature (Again not sure if it's a Quebec store) sometimes to get toys, treats and such. I found out they even sell some fleece items for Guinea pigs, like little beds and tunnels. I'm pretty sure you could buy their products online too. I'll mention this now but our Global even has a pet groomer for one of our dogs, and the Mondoux has these appointment given washing station thing. I love these stores.

For the vitamin C tablet - would you recommend Sherwood's vitamin C tablets (I use oxbow right now) I feed my girls Sherwood baby pellets (they're 3 and 2 months old), Oxbow timothy hay & orchard grass, and veggies. For veggies I try to feed radicchio, romaine lettuce, cilantro (once-twice a week), and cucumber. I'm going to try and start them on cherry tomatoes. I don't use fleece bedding so I don't know how to tell if I'm feeding them too much calcium because I can't see calcium deposits.

Hi Aby! I am not sure I understand what the forage is for. Is it a treat that I can give but is too much if they eat a lot of vegetables? This is the first time I saw that. And also it is really fun when you do a recap like this it is always interesting. I am a bit sad about bun bun...
@skinnypigs16 жыл бұрын
I am using it in place of veggies, along with wheatgrass for the herd cage. If you feed a lot of veggies, I would just be using it as a treat only.

skinnypigs1 And why you decide to give this instead of veggies? Is it for the price or just to change the routine or is it healthier?

Do you wash your clothes in the same machine ? and if so any problems with smell transfer , hair ? Thanks so much.
@scarletace84196 жыл бұрын
Idk what Abby does, but I personally wash in the same machine since I don't have that many pigs. I just run a wash with bleach and wipe out any hair with a wet paper towel. No smell transfer for me. I brush extra poops off before and dump them in the compost pile for the garden. The wash itself is just hot water and vinegar. I am still very curious what Abby does as well
@HarrietFitzgerald5806 жыл бұрын
I use the same washer, most times everything is ok, but every once in awhile I pull out a shirt of mine and realize I smell of piggies! 😱🙈 I use natural detergents, so they're not as powerful. Once a month I run my washer on empty, just to clean it out; I also cloth diaper my kids, never had a smell issue with those. Maybe it depends on the fabric or the order I do my washing in. 💕

I have an urgent issue. So I was going to say goodnight to my 2 piggies, when I noticed blood l. It looked like one was bleeding on a tummy after pheobe bit or scratched and then bun bun ran to a hidey hut and there is a small blood spot. I know it was bun bun who was bit or scratched beacause she had a small scap. All day today, I heard like high pitched like yelling, I thought nothing of it because they always get mad at each other. They have been together since birth. My cage is 5 ft by 4 ft. I have 2 of everything (2 multiple exit hides, 2 bowls, 2 bottles) they have the reccomended amount of veggies. (1 cup per pig) they are 6 months old. I have no idea what to do! Please help me. Ps it is not bloddy pee it is blood beacause there it like a u shape almost and they can't peel like that. They dont have very many calcium deposits mabey 1 or 2 here and there. You know normal small ones. I just have no idea. They are both girls)
