I'm with Skip that Phil is a snakey character that I get the same vibe in this Docu as Isiah Thomas. As much as I loathe this type of person I agree with Phil's decision to take a sabbatical. After a decade of this world wide phenomena if he's not burned out and exhausted after 6 championships, even if ignoring what disrespect the GM showed him. Not wanting to coach a rebuild team with just MJ staying and everyone else leaves assuming because the team can't afford them what others might be offering. If this is Phil's second year first ever championship okay he should stay. And it's unfair for MJ to speak for everyone that they'll be back for a 4th. I'm just assuming everyone's contract ending at 98 is a bit contrived. If people are still bound by contract and can't leave then you offer everything to get MJ Pip back and go again. Unfortunate Bulls have been rebuilding since.

If anything the Last Dance has really exposed and magnified the flaws of this show, Undisputed. Shannon will try to nitpick, shame, exaggerate anything he’ll see and take the littlest of comment out of context like what Kerr said at the end.. Bro that’s what u got from all that? It’s just so sad and desperate Skip on the other hand will do all the same things to push up his agenda.. like a broken record. How many of the same arguments have we heard in these last 5 weeks? You been handed an opportunity of a life time to actually discuss Jordan’s era legitimately and you turn into into American Idol on who’s better blah blah blah I love Undisputed, but these last few weeks has exposed the dumb petty clickbait style of content I hated seeing from First Take.. ironically, First Take has been kinda good covering all this. Haven’t you learned anything from Kobe’s death? That you need to go to such levels to bring a man down to win a tired “debate” ? Shame on both of you.

They’ll continue to build up one athlete just to tear another one down. This documentary had NOTHING to do with LeBron but he’s constantly brought up. Skip’s gonna be Skip when it comes to MJ but I’m so disappointed in Shannon after watching this. I used to think so highly of him too but the longer this documentary went on the more & more he’s shown his true colours. He probably was a journalist around those teams just doing his job but of course, we didn't know of him at that time nor did we know he would end up being a popular face "today". Also I gotta say this: if any of you that are attacking Skip on this particular matter are this era LeBron fans that think he is the GOAT, ya really are some hypocrites but it is the SAME LeBron James fans that will attack Skip for him saying he was there during the Last Dance but not physically seeing him in the documentary that are claiming James as the GOAT over MJ but NEVER went back and watched him play in any FULL games or anything like that (just little highlights here and there) so in truth....ya WERE NOT there to see Michael play so you kinda lose credibility to speak on this

@@realitybites629 Skip is still a clown though, and I'm old enough to remember when he first came to the Tribune as a columnist. Part of Phil's need for a sabbatical was Krause's constant disrespect and need for affirmation. Krause believed just like he moved on from Doug Collins to Phil Jackson and shocked everyone and it worked out, he thought he could do the same with Tim Floyd replacing Phil. Krause said REPEATEDLY he didn't want to be the Boston Celtics and hold on to the aging players too long, he wanted to be the Baltimore Orioles who were title contenders from the 1960's into the 1980's. Krause was itching to rebuild and Tim Floyd was ALWAYS his choice to rebuild with. He had started dating Jeanie Buss around this time if I'm not mistaken. So Phil was ready to leave Chicago for sunny California anyway.

I’m actually grateful that the Bulls went out when they were on the top. I’d hate to see that dynasty go through the circus and the drama. We saw what that kind of circus can do to teams in 04 Lakers. Coming back would have been an ugly ending to the greatest dynasty in the NBA. It’s not a guarantee that the Bulls would have won in the following year. I’m grateful that my last memory of that dynasty is the last shot that MJ made to win the chip.
@wealthdiscoveries2641

Me and you have the same mindset. Nothing last forever, and they would have lost eventually. It feels good knowing at their best nobody ever took the chip from them, dethroned them.

Great point. Had the 90s Bulls been allowed to continue their reign until they couldn’t anymore (which likely would have been the next year), a lot more of the dysfunction would have come to light. Winning cures everything, but eventually they would have been beaten and the discord between the players, most notably the supporting cast’s disdain for Jordan, would have been much more publicized. Obviously they still would have been more remembered for what they accomplished, but they would also have been remembered for how they fell apart. Similar to your example of the Lakers in the early 2000s.

@@jjjjjjaylon you mean like the mavs who had one star and weren't even expected to be in the finals that year? Or a spurs team that had a old duncan, manu, and parker, and a kawhi that wasn't in his prime yet? I'll give you Golden state but the reason the bulls never faced a team as good as the warriors is because he was apart of the team that was as good as the warriors lol

I always heard that Phil was actually the one that wanted to leave, but that he basically mind-controlled everyone into an “us” (Phil and Bulls guys) versus “him” (Krause) mentality. After seeing this documentary, this pretty much confirmed it. If you think about it....it makes perfect sense. At the very beginning, he put out that book that said “The Last Dance,” which already signaled to the guys that this would be it, no matter what.
