Polestar 2 has headlight washers 👍🏻 EU regulation or at least Scandinavian regulation when you exceed 2000 lumens in your headlights. Etron and Polestar 2 has fantastic headlights, and need due to their powerful lights headlightwashers

It’s all a bit silly. In Norway there are hardly any people with covid. If Bjørn would have washed his hand right before entering the car, it would be virtually impossible that he would spread the virus by just sitting in the car.

Actualy impressed with how quality this car looks, skoda allways looked like the cheaper but nice alternative to the bmws and mercedes of the world, kind of head to head with vw but even cheaper This actualy looks like a very nice luxury ish suv AND its ev with a big enough battery, interior looks a bit plastic-y to get the luxury title but doesnt look like it affects comfort and the exterior makes up for it If its not performance oriented and can achieve model S-model 3 efficiency and the price is right it looks like a GREAT option for a good looking EV suv

headlight washer rule is simple, weak headlights don't need it (in EU, weak means under 2000lm)

not quite correct -> The kind of measuring the intensity is different. Xenon is scaled at the lens, LED is measured at the plate of the headlight, because of that the washer is not needed by law and the manufacturer save this - very customer-friendly in winter

The steering wheel is the same in the new Octavia and most other Skodas from now on. The rollers feel high quality, Audi-like. Much better than VW:s glossy buttons.

I was crazy about the car until the configurator came out. Basically all the stuff that is standard on other EVs is an additional charge option. Even the 125kW charging rate is an extra with the stock option being 50kW.

I think that's the way many traditional auto makers make money. Same with ID.3, if you spec it up to Model 3 equipment level, it also costs the same.

@@tbnzet The Kia and Hyundai models are from a traditional auto manufacturer, but they are specced much higher than the base Skoda. There are a few things that Skoda should make standard on all models: heated electrically adjustable front seats, heated steering wheel, front and rear parking sensors and camera, wireless charging, and heat pump.

The Chevy Bolt EV has a rear camera washer; on the Premier at least. It is on ours, which has the rearview camera; which is great if you have a lot of stuff in the back, or tall people blocking the optical mirror sight lines. The washer cleans both that and the backup camera.

Does anyone know why the Skoda Connect Infotainment is free for 3 years? Do you have to pay after this time? Infotainment is everything online? If so that’s rubbish you need to pay for something that is fundamentally essential! I see there’s also a 3 yr package for £635 which is just for sat nav. Expensive.

It is better but if you spec it up to the same level as either this will cost you a lot extra. A Kia Niro is £36,000, this to the equivalent spec is £49,000. They are charging extra for everything you see in this video even air bags and Lane keep assist that are safety items are extra.

Headlights washers are mandatory if the car has Xenon or LED high beams because dust and dirt on the headlights would make the light reflect in directions that you dont want the light to go... They are a lot more powerful then old halogen lights where this problem was non-existent.
