Well as I can understand that your FEELINGS for the VW brand, bcoz we own brand new 1980s Beetle & VW Polo MK2 since then till date,(both were imported with LHD) now we are also having 2011 polo comfortline, vento 1.6 highline, fabia 2012, rapid 1.6 ambtion. But Looking at the current situation it doesn't look like VW group is thinking about filling the gap between the TIAGUN & TIGUAN... I am neither willing to BUY Tiagun(sub standard as compared to vento & rapid) nor am buying Tiguan as its out of my REACH😂 ; well this is the same situation with EVERY INDIAN like me... Well from the core of Every Indians Heart," We want an SUV between Tig & Tia that's TAOS" Please let them (VW) know that TAOS is best option for INDIANS now a days, they can provide TAOS fwd a lil costlier than VW TIAGUN & TAOS AWD close to VW TIGUAN... They did it earlier for VIRTUS as its a MEXICAN POLO SEDAN which was launched in INDIA as VW Virtus (google those don't agree🧐) Believe me TAOS could be better option for INDIANS trapped in SellToz krap.... Test drove new Slavia and virtus 1.5 after using a Polo GT 1.2 TSi Dsg. The cars are well equipped but it lacks that true german feel and dynamics. Loving my Polo GT even more now❤

Must have's in this VW sub4'm SUVs are 1- Sunroof and alloys, TPMS, HUD option for top trims. Customer will pay if he sees the value. (Even if unnecessary). 2- ADAS level2 on topmost variant. 3- TSI with TC. 4- Manual MUST HAVE LIGHT CLUTCH because the manual will sell in numbers. 5- Beige coloured airy feel good cabin, or the buyers will move to Hyundai/Kia. 6- Keep the lowest variant at par with Brezza, dont give any flashy things. Bring the customer in. 7- Give extended warranty packs. Keep the customer locked in for 10 years. His family will never buy anything else. I am a Ford+Maruti+Hyundai customer and the way Ford has kept me in even they stopped sells business is legendary. Their service is still legendary. Even they started extended warranty packs this year!!

All the above would push the price of base to at least 13 lac ex showroom. No way VW would do that. Look what happened to Ford. It was not that they were not upgrading their existing models or launching new ones. The fact was they could not afford upgrades or new launches.

I feel the upcoming Compact SUV will eat sales of kushaq 1.0 and slavia.. Because of the Size factor, People prefer Suv from other brands or consider slavia because it looks big.. They need to update Kushaq heavily by adding Panoramic Sunroof,360 camera, heads up display etc to pitch kushaq premium over CSUV.. or they have to make the new csuv same like Punch/Magnite/Exter size so that sales of kushaq won't be affected.. After all, they earn more profit on selling Kushaq compared to CSUV

They should launch compact suv with 1.2 NA same like other brands are doing..from mid variants they should offer 1.0 tsi in such a way that top variant's price will match kushaq's mid variant.. They also have to consider size factor because if CSUV looks same as Kushaq in terms of size then it will be reason behind kushaq's discontinuation They can achieve 5% of market sales if their portfolio would be Polo-CSUV-Virtus-Taigun(with Updated features)-Tiguan Fabia-Kyroq-Slavia-Kushaq(with updated features)-Octavia-Superb-Kodiaq After 1 lakh sales milestone they are taking indian market very seriously.. Hope Honda follows the Same by launching Compact SUV and a 7 seater

The Skoda Kushaq itself looks like a sub 4m car from the distance. Unlike its competitors. Even a Brezza gives the illusion of being larger than the kushaq Now if they actually make a sub 4m car i am sure it will look smaller than the competition and the prime customer in this segment wont really dig that. Reintroducing the Polo with 1.0tsi would have been a far far better decision. It has a cult following and could have dominated the segment

The market is all about volume of sales paaji! However, Skoda can never get to the type of sales TATA Mahindra Hyundai Maruti has generated since a long time! In India - Skoda, Volkswagen lacks volume due to availability of various options to customers in other brands! Awareness campaigns is the need for these companies to run in India to make customers aware of what they are missing on! Moreover pricing is also the key! I wanted to buy VW Virtus automatic but budget nahi ban paya so I went with the City( which is no doubt a mind blowing product from Honda) but if the awareness & price - ye dono cheezo pe dhyan dein to Skoda & VW bhi bikega - coz ye koi Audi, Mercedes aur BMW nahi jo price bracket se neechay nahi utar sakte! Think about it

Skoda should introduce Diesel engine in New Generation Kodiaq 1st instead of Superb if it is just experiment. I heard that they will bring Superb Diesel as CBU, instead of Superb they should introduce TDI engine in Kodiaq. Otherwise it will not sell much because people prefer Diesel SUV nowadays at that price point. It will be better if they introduce TDI in both Superb & Kodiaq. 👍🏻

Paaji.... It definitely great news for Indian Car buyers. Finally Skoda has realised that you got to bend yourself & offer affordable Cars in Sub 4mts C-SUV or Premium Hatch to survive long with good Sales nos. For many this segment is an entry level segment. Unless Indians try, test & owns their Sub 4 Mts Cars they will not become their future brand loyal customers for their bigger Cars. VW-Skoda has to offer Extra than Sub 4 Mts CSUV competition. By and large for Indians basic requirements is Infotainment system & Alloy wheels. Hence they have to offer both the above from the base to be one up over competition. Over & above their list of Safety features. Once they experience the driving dynamics & feel the difference only than future is bright for VW-Skoda India. We all know about Mercedes, BMW, Audi..... as good Cars. मगर हिम्मत ही नहीं करेंगे Showroom जाने की. क्यू पत्ता है उनकी Cars are expensive to own और maintain.

The only good about this launch is that they can increase the reach now with expansive dealer network especially tier 2. In the segment which this car is launching where there will be an option generated as a budget value luxury brand. If this is translated into success there is possibility that they can show German heads the potential of brand and then may be they can expand manufacturing by localising Troc/Karoq which may fit later in coming years. However, I personally and completely not sure if this is okay because already existing suv's look small to the counter part Elevate/seltos/creta/nexon ...and if they would had gone for a segment above then although the reach would have been niche but I guess profits margin would had been more because they anyways would had priced them close or same as compass.

Lol 😂 with existing sales of Kushaq/Slavia, it is not sustainable to continue in India, so bring another sub 4m, which would sell 1000 units a month 😂. Its high time VW/Skoda improved their products to offer what customers need. Sub 4m is extremely competitive, and you can't go there with the same performance/ build/dynamics story. If Skoda goes with downsized Kushaq, it is bound to fail again . Bottomline, If you offer performance, build/dynamics at the cost of ownership experience, you are bound to fail in India.

If Skoda/vw bring sub compact suv, than they must keep size equivalent to brezza/nexon. One of the lesser sales of kushaq/taigun is lower size compare to creta/seltos. Any indian client need proper 5 seater who invest 15 to 20 lacs

if they can shrink < 4 , hatch is on the table ; only irony being when polo was there none bought it , hope it doesn't meet same fate . I remember fiat punto (gem of a car ) using same 1.3 diesel as swift but as was heavier than swift ( we know why :-) and none cared abut it and hence was discontinued . Yes, VW and Skoda has made a mistake of ignoring the sub 4m customer segment so far. They shud introduce IMT transmission...ppl say its for namesake but its very convenient specially in city where traffic is there. Bcz there's no leg workout bcz of no clutch n also u can enjoy manual shifting...its just the best for cities..i hd driven twice n i feel its quite interesting....if theres imt n good safety like skoda thn it will surely be a good option for many n would boost sales to a some extent...aapko kya lagta hain sunderji
