Can You Beat Dome Keeper With ONLY Your Laser?

Haven't actually played this game myself, but I feel like the double laser would just be the better option most of the time. Like the time you'd save having to move the laser between enemies (especially for grounded enemies since you can now target both sides simultaneously) would more than make up for having your damage split up. Plus the added coverage would just make the swivel and projectile upgrades even better

Unfortunately double laser is weak, very weak. With super damage laser you destroy everything so fast... I hope they make the double laser better, or give us another upgrade after that for more damage.

As the other dude said, trading your damage for coverage sounds, good, but when their health pools are as massive as they are late game it's just not worth it.

The dome would be destroyed 100% with double laser on that final wave without the relic. The damage output is too low.

They’ve just made it so you can get the double laser and super powered laser at the same time, making the laser incredibly overpowered.

If you did this again, I'd recommend allowing yourself to scrap any relics you dig up. The two cobalt isn't that much for four squares worth of digging.

The new update allows you to have both the twin laser and the third power upgrade. It feels supper op when fully upgraded.

I did the mine every block on huge... Didn't even think about it since I liked and normally played huge maps... Good thing I maxed solo drillbert and had the orchard, still took me like 3 hours to do.

I also had a single cobalt tree near my lift in the 2nd layer. That was the last thing I mined, then I went on to beat the game w/out the relic. Difficulty was the easy tho.

First laser upgrades being speed over damage would have done you a lot better, you have way way more 0 value time in moving back and forth then you gain back by killing the enemies slightly faster

Never played before so take this with a grain of salt Why do people never use resource converter + condenser, Is there a reason why? To me you can get perma overcharge, water that can also become iron in the converter or used for upgrades. And use the tree to get the triangles for healing. If you know why people don’t do this, please tell me because I have no idea why they don’t.

It's definitely a good combo but you have to use both of them for it to be worth it, and both are kinda expensive to upgrade. Using both of them means you also miss out on teleporter and probe which are better combo of gadgets imo as they eliminate the necessity of strip mining, movement speed and carry weight upgrades which saves you far more time and resources.

I personally don't take them together mostly because converter isn't that good. It takes too long to actually convert resources. In small maps, the game is over before it gives you more than a few resources, and in a larger map, it pales in comparison to the amount of resources you get from ore veins, let alone the amount of resources that those later upgrades cost to begin with. Getting an extra couple of iron every other cycle isn't really strong enough. Maybe if it had some upgrades to improve conversion time, it would be worth it. For prestige mode, the game is bound to kill you before you run out of iron to dig up. That said, I do believe converter is good on Prestige, but not because of the synergy with condenser. It's just really helpful to be able to produce more cobalt for healing and the prestige multiplier. If you had condenser, I imagine you _would_ be putting water in the converter for iron when you aren't converting for cobalt.

In Relic Hunt, these gadgets are often too slow to create a big advantage over the course of the game. However, in Prestige these gadgets are very good and people use them separately and in combination frequently

Personally I use Resource Converter and Condenser all the time in Prestige mode. Condenser (imo) is a must have, the permanent overcharge upgrade is amazing. Resource Converter is also really good in the beginning as it can jump start upgrades, but I feel like it definitely falls off in the late game since the iron pockets become so large, haha. Personally I really like Condenser and Blast Mining the most though; in Prestige, you dig so deep that the drill upgrade honestly does nothing for you and the directional upgrade on Blast Mining makes mining so much easier. But with the recent update to the drill, maybe the 50 cost upgrades will be worth it now lol

Instead of doing horizontal strip mining, you could do vertical strip mining. This would mean you always are heading towards the top when you start to bring resources back.
