To be honest, Minecraft might've gotten way less influence if Notch didn't mess up the pig model, resulting in the creation of creepers. Creeper, with its unique design and method of attacking, is hands down one of the most iconic characters in gaming history, and for sure the very first thing to come in most people's mind when talking about Minecraft. It's even the letter "A" in the logo. The Minecraft franchise relies on creeper a lot, from the merch, songs (like Revenge), memes to iconic death scenes etc. I really can't imagine a Minecraft without creepers

I feel like Minecraft's INFdev stage is a very underappreciated crucial point of its history that could have changed the course of the game _THE_ most drastically. Minecraft would be no Minecraft without its infinite world, so *GIGANTIC* props to Notch for taking upon the herculean task of developing an infinite world and not dropping it out, but if he was to drop its development... Minecraft would be a very different game, if it was to exist today in the first place. Anyways, great video.

Could have been major art style changes (the indev polygon character models), could have been various community ideas existing or not (what if pistons were never suggested, or came out differently?), could have been cogs and gears like Create mod (Notch experimented with them before pivoting to redstone), there's so many things that were almost different.

Me and my 2 sisters had to deal with alot and my therapist said I have truama from her. I used to play minecraft (and still do) because I dident feel safe just being me around her, and found it easier to just be on my pc all the time. She made me go to like 3 doctors to see if I had aspergers, autism and got mixed awnsers, but now after a 2 year divorce I live with my dad. Im getting better, but my younger sister had it hard and I just makes me feel bad. I know how it was living with mom and how awful she made you feel for just being you and talking your opinions. as someone who had to go through similar issues. I was an undiagnosed autistic ADHDer who got bullied with no support from teachers or parents, I also used my PC to escape my horrible life. tbf back then minecraft didn't exist and mental heath awareness was bad in the early 2000s. my parents did apologized for their past mistakes tho, so I got confirmation that they feel remorseful for the harmful and frankly traumatizing ways they acted in some situations. like telling your kid it won't get bullied if it would just behave normal. that's like asking me to levitate. anyway I wanted to share my own experience, because I wanted to tell you, you're not alone and more importantly that it gets easier to live with these mental scars the older you get. especially when you're surrounded by people who support you. also I too have two sisters. I'm in the middle and my younger sister also had it the hardest. we already had a close bond, but that additional trauma bonding made us essentially twins with a 7 year age gap. it's also soothing for a broken mind to know you have someone who'll always, w/o question have your back and vice versa. makes one emotionally stronger/more resilient. I hope you and your sisters can also find strength in your bond as siblings and help each other to heal these mental scars quicker.

There is another obscure event that happened early on in the development of Minecraft that wasn't in the video. During the days of Alpha and Seecret Fridays, Notch had been working on another project. This was an entirely different branch of Minecraft, with different blocks, features, and ideas. For some reason, this branch never took off or was officially released to the public. It's a very interesting topic that might have changed the course of Minecraft forever. The Retro Gaming Now channel covers this topic, and I would recommend anyone who is interested to watch those videos.

I think that if Minecraft were to ever explore the space dimension or anything like it through portals or actual rockets, the unused deadmau5 and C418 tracks would go perfect for that environment. I actually would prefer if they added the deadmau5 music even if it is old or outdated. It fits well with what current minecraft is even if it's on a rare disc you can find from creepers or dungeons. Would be cool if they added otherworld dimensions with dungeons for them as well lol
